GUO is definitely my favorite Forgeworld mini. It conveys a kind of uniquely malignant joy.

EVERYONE seems to prefer the Forgeworld version of the Greater Daemon of Nurgle, even though it's non-canon with the fluff. The REAL Greater Daemon of Nurgle is supposed to be made in the image of Nurgle himself, who is a massive pile of filth, puss, maggots, and fluids. This one just looks cooler than that, and so everyone gets this one instead of the official one. I sure hope this doesn't lead GW to change the fluff and make this the official model.

@matejoto Agreed, but the Great Unclean One Ulkair, daemon price, just underpowered, but Bloodthirster has a sick name, kick ass moves and all the daemon prince does is use his shitty ass sword and moves, not a good name at all, ulkair is a retarded name, has a retarded model, i hate all of his moves, Why did they abandon the bloodthirster?!!!

@generalj02 I picked it up at a Battle Bunker so I didn't have to pay shipping. I use him as Kugath in my Daemon army, but the rules for him are in one of the Forge World Seige of Varaks books I think.

Hey, I've been playing nurgle for a while now and thinking about getting one of these guys. What is the method you use to paint it's skin?

I started with a base of Tallarn flesh and then several glazes of vermin and vomit brown before highlighting it back up to rotting flesh with a series of mixes of Tallarn and rotting flesh, then a couple controlled washes of green and purple in spots....hope that helps.

I think the term for this model is p.i.p: paint in progress. The w.i.p is more converting but yeah can cover all areas of work. It looks great. I'm sure you've entered GD, cos if ya ain't, you need to be mentally looked at :D. Great work.

I didn't make it to Games Day this year,I entered a few things a couple years ago,but I didn't even make first cut.When you are going up against people like Natalya Melnik and Chris Borer it's easy to see that those guys are on a whole different level.I'm going to try again next year though.

Well I had a look at Melnik's space marine captains a few years ago, and I have to say, they were the same model as a core, with only diferent weapons and gear. She tried over here in the UK 3 years ago and got a bronze and that's it. The only thing you can do is keep going cos I believe you can do it, cos you might of got better than the last time you entered, and if you do, whenever that is, good luck for it.

Thanks,I picked the colors to make him match my Plaguebeareres and Nurglings,but I ended up having to go back and repaint parts of those models to make them match this one.

They are not as cool as the Daemon,they got the one day paint job.I've easily put over 100 hours into this guy...~sigh~...I have no life...And yeah,I think the fleshy color is scarier than the green skin for some reason.

OGAMI72- Wow man, this video makes me want to start collecting and painting Chaos. It was very inspiring to say the least! I am in total agreement with plaguemarines comment and request. Please show us more!

PLAGUEMARINES- I am working on a board you may have some interest in. I used a bunch of "great stuff" expanding foam and used a crazy heat technique where I super heated some pink foam. Very nurglesque. I will try to post a vid tonight. Maybe it will help you out.
