I had a puppy that had parvo but was cured and then after that got distemper. The vet said she had no idea what was wrong with her so we had to put her down.

you dont successfully treat distemper or any other virus. you can only innoculate against them. all Viruses run their course, and they either kill the host or the host survives them. you can treat bacterial infections, but since viruses mutate constantly, there can be no drug against them. this is why AIDS cannot be cured. if this dog lived it was just lucky, and strong enough to hong on until the virus mutated to non-lethal or died off. you can only treat secondary d-temper infections

i have 3 pups withdistemper there hanging in there im giving them pedialite every hr i just want to know if that will help or if im just prolonging there death what other meds can i give them & where can i get them............they dont move just laying around and haveing problems breathing olz help i want to save them.
