  • Hey, I'm a Mod. :)

  • Hi, if you like instrumental music you might like our new guitar/violin/cello trio. Search 'the fugitive soar medieval' if you're interested. thanks from SOAR

  • And on vinyl? Beautiful!

  • love the tull

  • What, no Adam West Batman??

  • awesome video!!!awesome song!!!!!who could dislike this??

  • Try some Blodwyn Pig...Nice

  • Excellente Chanson un des standards de Jethro Tull.

  • im on fuckin SHROOMS MOTHERFUCKERS!!! :)

  • Great video to go with a great song. :-) Thanks.

  • Boy, is this the epitome of sixties rock, eh?

  • Real music exists as much as you win lotto with the exception of the metal and rock scene.

no pressing buttons and enhancing your voice and saying thats "music".

I was born waaay 2 late!back to the 60's thanks!when fishing and hunting where amazing, you could keep your car unlocked and the days of Tull and Zep were at their peak.

FUCK gay fucking button pressing shit.

    this is real music!

  • What record is this off of? I had the original LP and this cut is different.....mainly the flute pairing and the crunching violins[?] near the end........thanks!

  • @willicat441 it might be the added effect of jam and assorted shit on the playing surface

  • Jeez,I remember.Great time.Great year.Great song.Great band.

  • @atouchofstreep actually sir you are very wrong.

  • THANK YOU!!! For loading this on LLLLPPPP 33' !!!! Jumps starts some foggy memories!!!

  • @atouchofstreep It's not that hard, just put a flux capacitor in a DeLorean!

  • why is that Vulcan wearing a Mercedes sign at 2:22?

  • That's,like,groovy man.

  • what a stupid pics

  • @atouchofstreep Will you take an old hippie along?

  • @atouchofstreep when it is ready ,let me know please.. :P

  • 020djm Cool! I was too scared to ride the Commando so stuck to "The Yellow Peril" - my yellow Lambretta 150cc. One of my mates had a Triumph Trident and another had an old Ariel square 4 (1000 c.c.) which he'd ride to school and piss the teachers off with.- wooo hoo! Great era for original music, and have great memories of skipping classes (bunking/wagging) with my mates to head back to my place and groove along to these and others.

  • Ahhh........ the wonderful snap/crackle/pop of stylus hitting vinyl, usually on the 60's bog standard Dansette autoplayer piled 8 singles high, cos that was how the masses enjoyed and appreciated the music, warts and all........before it was digitally castrated. But then we're livin in the past?

  • Possibly the best intro to any song ever

  • It doesn't matter when the music was done. It's great music available for all, past and future generations

  • "Luved" your vid. editing! In the late 60s, I hedged my bets. I had a turbo-charged Lambretta AND a Norton 750. Tull music was for those clad in leather [or hippie loons] but I was accepted by "two tribes"? I commend an "open mind to music" to all.

  • Super song, I like too!

  • 2:08....."Now theres revolution but they don't know what theyre fighting"............=rebel without a cause!........sure, lots of rebels around, and thats healthy for society, but the rest of us want clean water and air! and better government in tune with our modern age!

  • wish i was a mod

  • @MultiJohnnes You are living in the past, kid. HA HA HA!

  • So freakin' beautiful...........

  • FUCK ALL THE MUSIC SHIT. JETHRO TULL IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jethro Tull, The Minstrel Looks Back 1969-1977 2DVD available at Tommygunvideo please see our youtube channel for link/clips/more info

  • I can proudly say that I was just listening to Dying Fetus and then I put this on, and it's even better.

  • @igloo50 yeah, i was listening to Belphegor, i dont know if it is better, but is still great.

  • @igloo50 SKULLFUUUUUUUUUKED...FUCK YOUR FUCKING FAAAAAACE.... agreed...

  • notice anything about the vid? check out the hair styles,to similar to todays look ;). Well it could be a sign that classical music like jethro tull is coming back.

  • always thought these poor devils were much maligned, despite a really intriguing range of music, and plenty of it... never saw them back in the day, though a friend did, and watched anderson give up, drop the mike and walk off in the middle of an encore, so perhaps they come by it honestly. Still love the recordings.

  • the Tull hit #11 in Bilboard, 1-20-73. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx1

  • awesome intro

  • Dat bass.

  • sometimes I miss the snap crackle pop of vinyl... 'Album covers' were so great...you could read the print for one, and you could roll on them for another...

  • 0:15 I have a 2CD set called And The Beat Goes On that has the lady with the ball-ball glasses and spotty lens glasses on the front artwork inlay.

  • I kinda wish I could back to the age of Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, etc...great music

  • @stecsworld Jethro Tull is Still around! And they're Still the best!

  • when i smoke weed and listen to 60s songs i feel like im in the 60s!!!

  • It's amazing what a rockin' flute can do in 5/4 time.

  • @JoshBurlingame Go and pick on someone your own age you pussy. Fair play to the kid you won't get alot like him/her with such good taste.

  • @ARSEBISCUIT00 I guess that's true a lot of people these day like punk ass nigger rap.

  • example:tull at their VERY best,thank you.

  • This sounds like a record that was put on tape and both of them had seen better days. I had forgotten what pops, clicks, wow and flutter sounded like together.

  • @Tull151 Haha me too. Kinda takes me back though, to when I first heard this. Still love it!

  • the coolest tribute to the years 68to 71 ever.

  • i misss thissss!!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice song..for me the sound of vinyl adds sweetness to all songs from the past...

  • These pics remind me of sixties day in middle school!

  • I fucking HATE it when people call Jethro Tull a person! IT'S A FUCKING BAND!

  • @Traydon3211 yeah what the fuck it doesnt even sound like a persons name lol

  • Are they supposed to be Magic Mushrooms at 1:23? :o

  • My favorite, by Tull. Sounds eclectic on vinyl here.

  • Y la q muchos creen q es lo mejor. The very best. Viviendo en el pasado.

  • What is wrong with Robbie, wrong with Robbie, wrong with Robbie?

What is wrong with Robbie, wrong with Robbie, wrong with Robbie?

Robbie's full of bullshit, full of bullshit, full of bullshit.

Robbie's full of bullshit, and that's what is, wrong with Robbie.

  • 60s rules..!!

  • i love this song, but when i hear this song, i think of liverpool fc, this should be there anthem.

  • 17 people are living in the past.

  • PEZZO PSICHEDELICO !!!!

  • This tune (not the words) was used for an early 70's TV show called "The Scientists" I think. Fabulous song.

  • Jethro sounds italian.

  • with this music how can I wouldnt want to live in the past ?

  • @mobyboy in matters of music, I live in the past for sure!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I TOTALLY miss the 60's.

I was born in the end of the 90's..(1998)

And, like the song says: I'm living in the past...Because I LOVE these bands like Jethro Tull, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Nirvana, Queen, Iron Maiden, etc.

And I know, some bands I said didn't start in the 60's

  • @MultiJohnnes metalica, nirvana, and maiden are all eighties. check out Rush, Yes, the Who, the Guess Who, Three Dog Night...groovy shit dude

  • @knelledkismet ummmm nirvana had only one album in the 80's and it was 89' with bleach....hardly an 80's band man, ill give you the others though :)

  • @knelledkismet ture enough. i an an old musician to the point where 3 doors down is still kinda new matchbox is still kinda new. im showing my age 41, help me thhhink of current shit that is gonna last the test of time if you dont mind Johnnes. if your not busy. peace

  • @MultiJohnnes check out Rush, Yes, Three Dog Night if you havent yet

  • @MultiJohnnes heh, 98. and i thought my taste was peculiar for my age :P

  • @MultiJohnnes and if you're appreciatin suggestions, i suggest cream, fleetwood mac, and the animals (<-quite sixties)

  • @MultiJohnnes Don't loose you're hope kid, there are lots of bands today that still go for the old sounds, it's true, nothing can beat the classics but they are much better than the bands you get on TV or whatever , there where some bad bands in the 60's just the way there are good bands today just that now you have to dig a little bit deeper in order to find anything decent, blame it all on the music industry...

  • @MultiJohnnes same here man. except i was born 1996. -__- i wish i was alive at 1969.

  • @MultiJohnnes Lol your 12 and you think you're cool because you can name a bunch of bands before your time, when you probably only know about their most mainstream songs.

  • @JoshBurlingame Oh, you think this... But you're wrong.

I can say some songs of these bands you may not know.

Beatles: The Fool on the Hill (Magical Mystery Tour)

Led Zeppelin: The Battle Of Evermore (Led Zeppelin III)

    Nirvana: Milk It (In Utero)

Queen: The Prophet's Song (A Night at the Opera)

Iron Maiden: Only the good die young (Seventh son of a Seventh son)

    Metallica: Escape (Ride the Lightning)

Jethro Tull: Heavy Horses (Heavy horses)

REPEATING, I said some songs you MAY NOT know.

  • @MultiJohnnes Of course I know all of those songs. Again, you think you're cool because you can name songs. I said this before and your response was naming songs.

  • @MultiJohnnes Ninguém entende isso, ainda mais no Brasil...

  • @MultiJohnnes You forgot The Who, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, The Small Faces, Jefferson Airplane, Kaleidoscope, Moby Grape, The High Numbers (The Who in the early days). Your dad must have gotten you into all of that good stuff, same with my dad. Long live rock

  • @MultiJohnnes

    you suck

  • @MultiJohnnes Hahaha Metallica, Iron Maiden and Nirvana? Jesus Christ! Those bands suck! dude....but you are too young....you are gona realize when you grow

  • @reconfreshpapa I think you are too old and clumsy to judge what is right and what is not. Metallica, Iron Maiden and Nirvana were not as good as the classic rock bands, but they were good nonetheless.

  • @ajmh66 I´ll repeat....you are gonna realize later ;)

  • @reconfreshpapa Yes, Nirvana sucks and Metallica is hit or miss. But Iron Maiden is one of the greatest bands to ever walk the earth. They have even cited Jehtro Tull as an influence. They have also done a great cover of Cross Eyed Mary. They have alot of progressive elements. They are on Progarchives.

  • @MultiJohnnes Fuck this generation right...

  • @MultiJohnnes lol if you were born in '98 then how can you miss the '60s?

  • @junx1488 It's another way of saying he wishes he was there.

  • @junx1488 depends on how you look on it. he missed the 60s. haha

  • @MultiJohnnes I am very sorry that you were born too late but now you can listen and see what was done then. Ok.

  • @MultiJohnnes

If you still miss the 60's... no problem. You can get drunk and fall asleep in a phone booth listening to The Doors anytime :)

  • @HiroMMM2

But there aren't hardly any phone booths around anymore. :(

  • @wileynewsome

Some eco WC booth, if there are any in your country.

  • What a great track, snap crackle & pop and all, really adds to it, just as I remember it on my beat up old record player while doing homework, better pace of life, better times. Nice one.

  • @frankenstang1973 yes frank , you said it : better pace of life for sure ; i'm not fussed on 'Today'

  • @frankenstang1973 Yes, the pace of life then is a key issue. As I once told a young lady, back then there were no "blinking red lights" demanding our attention - and we didn't miss them.

  • I miss the Sixties.

  • @rob99rst Yeah it was/is a beautiful song

  • Why Lennon?

  • @leatherfaze03 Why NOT Lennon?! LOLZ he's part of the sixties too xD

  • @chumshot1 , yeah i asked that question before ive seen the video, i love lennon, he awesome.

  • @leatherfaze03 xD he is indeed.

  • LOVE this vinyl sound!

Anyone can do this with any song, just look for Winamp plug-in called iZotope Vinyl

  • LOL! This song is in 5/4! awesomeness in an ice cream cone.

  • @KguitarF Not many bands prepared even to deviate beyond 2/4 or 4/4! Genesis are notable exceptions, of course, and who could forget the Golden Brown waltz of The Stranglers. Don't waltz to the instrumental between-verse infill though - you know, where they throw in the odd 4/4 bar...!!

  • 5/4 ? Is that the meter? @KguitarF

  • Hard to beleive this was made back in 1969 shit I was only 9years old, they were jammin smoothly then....

  • muito locooo esse som puta que pariu de cordas e de acordes

  • Sounds like my albums .

  • my dad bought me Jethro album once told me here look what we listened to back in the days

  • this is a great song, but i wish it was a lot longer. it seems like it would make a good ten minute tune. is there any other versions that are longer?

  • This transports me in a instant back to my early days growing up in the sixties, love this track, it as such energy, it's as i the sixties were invented for this track not the otherway around.

  • @merthyrmafia >>> Same here, though I was about 20 years old lol.

  • this song is like a natural laxative when i hear it. so relaxing.

  • Kansas basketball is living in the past. Go N. Idaho!!!

  • His BEST!!
