Now I understand why you separate out environmental costs from social and economic cost/benefits... it´s a picture of how well we are living with what the earth gives us...
it shows how well we appreciate what the earth gives us... or ... how much we take it for granted for our own personal interests...
This speaks to the invisible hand idea... the invisible hand does not show that when we pursue our self interests, that the environment is better off.
