  • Just made these! I didn't have cream of tartar so I used a bit of lemon juice. So super delicious! :)

  • Love your recipes but could you if possible do a roulade?

  • Holy crap that's a BIG pastry bag O.O

  • Whoever invent that separate egg thing is genius!

  • 15 minutes? the italian recipe takes three hours in the oven at 60°C

  • @MrSasyB I guess this isn't the Italian recipe then obviously

  • @MrSasyB I think its because its small in size. The baking time do depend on the size of the meringue.

  • its ssssssssssssssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooo good.

  • @HADDADbros Thanks! :)

  • awesome yoyomax12!

  • @oddwalla10 Thanks!

  • can i add chocolate powder to it ??

  • @280Bakugan excellent idea

  • @yoyomax12 thx =)

  • @tikflam These are so light and crunchy, yummy.

  • That is a pretty fat piping bag x3

  • @ShealNLilliROBLOX I think it was a freezer bag I cut the corner on and used it as a piping bag because I had no piping bags left!

  • @yoyomax12 Oh. I don't have any piping bags, i don't really cook >_<'

And my mom doesn't make pastries..I'm hungry now. D:

  • you should buy whole nutmeg and grate it your self, your meringues will taste a lot better with freshly ground nutmeg!!

  • @rstewarthome That is very true! Thanks for the tip. :)

  • @yoyomax12 you're welcome :)

  • @yoyomax12 you're welcome :) I subscribed btw.

  • do you need the cream of tartar ??

  • Cream of tartar helps stabilize the egg whites, I believe it is necessary. You could try it without and see what happens. :)

  • i just tryed it and they whent flat lol

  • Okay, so now we know! You need the cream of tartar! At least the ingredients weren't too expensive?

  • nope i have chickens so it was only the sugar and nutmeg i wasted but i only made a half mixture

  • @darkroge cream of tartar does help but if you don't have that you can use an acid, lemon juice or vinegar. its what i use :D

  • Thanks!

  • Tammy you amaze me with how you find time to do all that you do and then to VEDFAM with cooking as well. I think your alter ego is super woman!

  • I needed to do the Christmas baking anyway, vedfam gets me going because I need to do videos anyway, lol.

    Thanks!

  • I agree ...now I now where Wonder Woman has been hiding ! she is amazing !!!

  • Thank you sooo much for doing the meringues Tammy! Also, great tip on the cream of tartar. As soon as I'm over the flu, this is going to be the first project I tackle! I can't wait to try it! I'll keep you updated. Thanks for doing VEDFAM btw - it's been great having a yoyomax12 video to look forward to everyday. :)

  • Vedfam has been fun, but it also keeps me from watching other people's videos, so that's a bit frustrating, not enough time!! Or I need to quit my job, lol.

  • these remind me of a cookie called the forgotten cookie. they are very sweet also, but really good. i will have to try these, and look for the recipe for the others for Christmas.

  • I googled "forgotten cookie" and these are pretty much the same. That's what I should have called these! I much cooler name.

  • The cream of tartar is really the secret to a good meringue, it really helps the white be stable.

  • this looks nice, i going try to make some

  • Hope they turn out for you! thanks

  • I've had meringue cookies like that before never with the nutmeg tho. But like Max I love nutmeg so I will definitely have to try these out. These type are nice little treat with a cup of tea : )

  • The nutmeg gives them a very nice flavour Alesha. They are super super sweet so a cup of tea would be perfect to eat the with.

  • Wow - the idea of nutmeg in them is intriguing. You're right - local gifts only but yummy!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the idea.

  • I'm not convinced these are going to freeze and thaw well. I think they may end up sticky, but we'll see.

  • I will try these Tammy. They really look good! Hugs!

  • They are a nice low fat cookie (no butter!) very sweet though.

  • Yummy!! Blessings, Ang

  • Hello Ang!!!

  • OMG!! I love that egg separator where did you get

    that? I want one :)

That looks so good. I have to see on Weight Watchers if I can have that... I'm trying to lose my last 40lbs... I don't bake much but this one look easy :)

    Thank you for showing us

  • I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

Good luck with the last 40lbs! Weight Watchers is a great way to try to lose the weight. I have friends whom have had great success with it.

  • lol i am so going to the flood house tomorrow for a few days and I am going to make them for the first time ever,

    but using

    four eggs, sugar, power vanilla,

the other things i can not find here but oh yes i will

    SPRINKLES

  • The cream of tartar makes the whites more stable, but isn't absolutely necessary.

    You can't find nutmeg?

  • yummm. boy your hands can move:)

  • Super speed!!

  • What an amazing daughter! You manage to do a video a day with your busy schedule! Geat job on the meringue cookies!

    Love you!

  • Love you too!

  • I love love love your egg separator! I bet these were delish. Just a guess. Mother made meringue cookies with chocolate chips in them. SO good when they'd turn out, which was very seldom. Money shots = yum yummmm yummmmm

  • I got the egg separator as a free gift at a tupperware party. It fits a large egg perfectly without spill over. (these were extra large eggs so they slopped over a bit)

I've never had meringue with chocolate chips!

I put my meringues in the freezer and I am curious how they will defrost. I think they may end up sticky when they defrost.

I think meringues are best eaten the same day because they do absorb moisture like crazy.

  • yummy!!!!mmmm i will have to try this one ty Tammy...xoxo Misty aka Mista

  • They are super sweet, it's hard to eat more than a couple at a time.

  • cool cookies where do you get your egg seperater i never seen that kind before-katie

  • Katie,

I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

  • Loved it...you are wonderful...hugs from rhode island..

  • thanks Louise!

  • Ah those are very pretty!

  • They did turn out well, thanks Rhana.

  • I haven't made meringues in years but we love them. I have never tried nutmeg but have used lemon extract before for a lemony taste..

  • That's the thing with meringues, you can pretty much pick whatever flavour you want for them.

  • Tammy I've never seen one of those egg separators. Interesting. Those look and sound delicious, with the nutmeg. Hope you and the family are having a nice weekend! -Jim

  • Jim!

I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

Hope your weekend was good too.

  • Yummy!

  • :) Hi Daryl!!

  • Looks yummie

  • Thanks! :)

  • OMG where did you get the egg separator? I need to have one of those. I live in western Canada so maybe I could find one of those. Do you remember where you got it? Love your cooking vids. Hopefully you will be having some vids for Xmas baking.

  • I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

I will be doing quite a few baking videos in the upcoming days and weeks. Thanks!

  • excellent recipe and easy to follow!

  • Thank you! I find your methods of instruction on your videos excellent as well! The little bits of humour you add in the titles are always fun.

  • those are cute! I can't remember if I like meringue or not, but they do look yummy :)

  • Meringue is not for everyone. These taste like the meringue that you find on a lemon meringue pie, but it is dry and crispy.

  • Looks good and love the intro. Did Jason do that also?

  • Jason did the music for all. Dan (justavlogger) did the intro video sequence and titles. I'm very lucky to have people to make these for me.

  • looks good :)

  • Hello Johnathon.

  • hi :)

  • Hey! :)

  • What a cool egg separator! Where did you get that, do you remember? Your meringue looks perfect, nice and shiny! I made those cookies once and my friend helped me and we ended up with a lot left over which we made something that reminded us of a man....I know, bad, really bad! They were all good tho!

  • I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

    Hmmm a meringue.......appendage! lol

  • I have never seen a egg serperator like that

  • I've had the separator for years, I think I received it as a free gift at a tupperware party.

It works quite well and holds one egg perfectly

  • Oh my goodness NOMS! I need to make these Tammy!
