actually, x1250 is derived from x700 (and that is really old) desktop core and is integrated in the chipset. it's not a graphics card... the only thing they added was support for new connectors and HD video playback... it really is the best integrated solution, or rather was, until 780 chipset showed up...

As for the memory controller, intel supports DDR3 today with all their exsiting processors, while you need to buy AM3 processors (which isn't avaliable yet) to use DDR3. Also, 45nm intel chips uses much less power than amd parts period, there is no comparison. (2.5 watts idle, and 27.7 watts at max load, try to beat those numbers!) As mentioned, phenom doesn't reach 4.7hz, while the E8x00 processors can reach 4.0ghz+ with stock cooling!

Neither company has consistently produced better products. Its not like BMW vs Kia. Every processor family has specific strengths and weaknesses, as do every processor. You have to compare products in this industry in a very specific manner to be able to honestly point out an indisputable advantage. Consumers need to grow up and take facts for what they are. Its about platforms. Most people go in a store and buy a cheap pc with IGP video. They think Intel is better because C2D is better but that is not the case.

1: In the budget and midrange AMD is till king of the hill. Only they dont have a high end part ATM.

2: You get an Intel G965 IGP when you could have had the 690G from AMD witch still is 2x as fast.

Overall if you want a cheap pc the AMD is a bit cheaper and thanks to there IGP 2x as fast in 3d games.

Last bit about DVI and HDMI connectors is nonsense, not sure why AMD felt the need to spoil their attack with rubbish at the end. Intel branded boards may not offer DVI or HDMI but Intel Chipset based boards from most mfg are avail with both DVI and HDMI outputs. Would have been interesting to see proper comparison of vid playback qual where iirc Intel is in the lead (gets a much higher HQV score I think)

Dude, watch the video carefully. There are no Intel-branded G965 boards that support DVI or HDMI. Those are the boards that are most prevalent. If not, why would Intel have blogged about G965 saying they fixed it? Also, the G965 doesn't natively support DVI or HDMI. They are bolt ons requiring extra chips.

Even Businessweek says they stink. Actually, they say Intel graphics are wimpy. Search the web for "G965" and "Businessweek" and follow the story.
