I am not even from US but I hate that channel.
They could bring it back, or they could start a new series with the same characters. Something like in the future, got the boxset of season 2 this christmas and watched em' all in 2 day :D
Sometimes in this show, and in the original Terminator movies there are some terminator mannerisms that leaked through. Check at 01:20 where the terminator was rubbing his hands together. ITs a purely unconscious gesture that the actor wouldnt realise could be seen and the editor missed it.
Summer Glau had a few, she shook some hair out of her eyes once, and in the original Terminator, at the scene where Arnie pulls a guy off a payphone and he hops up the Kerb with little skip lol

Simply great, so many memorable moments from this show and the song here against the backdrop of scenes perfectly ends this episode and sets up what has turned out to be the series finale.
So sad that quality work like this gets cancelled while so much reality show trash goes on and on...
God, I hate Fox sooooooo much! They destroyed one of the greatest shows ever to run on television! I loved this show! It was intelligent, action-packed, paced around a great story, and full of heart. That's not something you can say about most shows these days, and certainly about nothing else that is shown on Fox!

The little girl, Savannah, "befriends" John Henry, the budding artificial intelligence program played by Garret Dillahunt. In the episode it mentions the girl is teaching John Henry to sing. Since Savannah is Scottish, it's likely to be a favorite song of hers and realistic she would teach John Henry that song. Plus it's meant to be a striking juxtaposition, the comic song with the dark scene.
I don't really see the problem with this song being in the series as it is - the pronouncation shouldn't really be the focus point in this scene (hell even my Uncle whose from Glasgow doesn't care) - the main thing is IMO the song was chosen cause it a.) sounds creepy/daugnting as a lament and b.) acts as a metaphor for the main characters "being caught with their trousers down" (being caught off guard) by the cops - at least they got the lyrics right - consider that a win lol !

@RoennnDW They screwed up what could have been a great series. Tried to make it just too intellectual by adding in so many twists and subplots....yeech! They should have just stuck with having a neat action/sci-fi series, it would have done really well. I mainly watched it for the little action, I loved watching Summer go into action, and the little girl was cute as a button.
@RoennnDW Season 1 was great exactly because it was short. Every episode was action packed, tightly packaged and meaningful, while there were a lot of dull fillers in season 2. I knew it wouldn't be as good as season 1 as soon as I heard it was going to be 22 episodes.

@judgedredd123 It's used for lament because it was something that the little girl's (deceased) father used to sing to her when she was littler. And he was Scottish but she was born in America, so she doesn't have the accent, so it's not really non-Scottish, because she's still ethnically Sottish.

The little girl, Savannah, "befriends" John Henry, the budding artificial intelligence program played by Garret Dillahunt. In the episode it mentions the girl is teaching John Henry to sing. Since Savannah is Scottish, it's likely to be a favorite song of hers and realistic she would teach John Henry that song. Plus it's meant to be a striking juxtaposition, the comic song with the dark scene.

I don't really see the problem with this song being in the series as it is - the pronouncation shouldn't really be the focus point in this scene (hell even my Uncle whose from Glasgow doesn't care) - the main thing is IMO the song was chosen cause it a.) sounds creepy/daugnting as a lament and b.) acts as a metaphor for the main characters "being caught with their trousers down" (being caught off guard) by the cops - at least they got the lyrics right - consider that a win lol !

although, the first season was short but so much better then the 2nd one, it was going slow and they were like making "mini-storys" for every episode..

@RoennnDW They screwed up what could have been a great series. Tried to make it just too intellectual by adding in so many twists and subplots....yeech! They should have just stuck with having a neat action/sci-fi series, it would have done really well. I mainly watched it for the little action, I loved watching Summer go into action, and the little girl was cute as a button.

@RoennnDW Season 1 was great exactly because it was short. Every episode was action packed, tightly packaged and meaningful, while there were a lot of dull fillers in season 2. I knew it wouldn't be as good as season 1 as soon as I heard it was going to be 22 episodes.

What tha hell is Fox's problem when they come up with dam good TV shows and just leave them hanging and back out of the productions due to some view rates excuses. Same happaened with prison break.

yeh,u're right about that one.If the stupid rates were low in the US, doesn't mean it wasn't popular in some other parts of the world. a lot of us from Sweden enjoyed it

I love this song and it fits the scenes it's sung over so well for some reason. There was one more episode after this one and it sucks because they ended the series right there. John and the liquid metal red headed chick jumping forward to the future and suddenly nobody knows who John Connor is, because he skipped over J-Day when he jumped forward to the future. Bad way to end the frekin' series.

This coud be the best ending of Season 2 of Terminator sarah connor crhonicles .. but they made 1 or 2 episodes more (i dont quite remember) but im still in love with this song ^^

It's true that in the original scottisch song they use 'yer troosers' but this isn't the scottish version, and like this everyone understands it^^

Just a passing comment, but strange to hear what is a comedy song being used as a lament.
ps how can you have a non- Scottish version of this song. That's like having a non-American version of the Star Spangled Banner.

& it's true, there could probably exist a non-American version of the Star Spangled Banner. But it's more a national anthem .. and everyone almost knows it .. (I don't but still.. xD)
But i must say when i watched the show I hadn't heard the irish song, but it's very touching in this part and eachially a good ending for the show^^

@judgedredd123 It's used for lament because it was something that the little girl's (deceased) father used to sing to her when she was littler. And he was Scottish but she was born in America, so she doesn't have the accent, so it's not really non-Scottish, because she's still ethnically Sottish.

Except they left in "breeks" - to be consistent they should have used "breeches" or something (though 'briogais' - breeks - in the Gaelic means 'trousers' also)

@macshealbhaich It sounds to me like he says "brakes" not "breeks" I would have said he should have stuck with breeks as breeches wouldn't have fit into the usage. Brakes works though as it Anglicizes it without breaking up the rhythm.

Yeah, the Dad is Scottish and sang it to his daughter, he would NOT have sung it 'the American way' no Scot would sing Trousers in place of Trousers... I can't believe Shirley Manson sat back and let them sing Trousers LOL!
