can someone explain something to me after i became a Christian i just realized I never realized how did Jesus die how was he praised by the people how did turn out from a guy who was praised then turn into a guy who was beaten and died on the cross and cussed out how did this all happen
@MrTheboss388 Jesus was always despised by the Pharisees and high priests for proclaiming that he was the son of God and thus they sought to kill him. He died on the cross to take on himself the penalty for our sin against God. Such a sacrifice was needed because all people have sinned and since God is just and holy, he cannot ignore our sin. So God became human so that he could take the penalty for our sin. This is the main concept but I can go more in depth if you wish.
@MrTheboss388 well he was liked by the common people but the leaders hated him because he showed thier sin and went against tradition. someone said that it was God's plan with Barabus to make the people vote to let barabus go. That isn't entirely true, if God MADE people do whatever he wants he would have made us robots who can't sin. those people had free will, but God did know they would do that. I suggest you read through the gospels as those will shed more light than anything I could say :)

His love truly makes differences in our lives because He is the “lifter of our heads!” (Psalms 3:3) and He gives us strength through His love to make it through anything (Philippians 4:13) because HE IS TRUE LOVE! (1 John 4:8) And that LOVE is defined in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

If anyone is struggling with any problem, and I mean ANY problem, it can all be traced back one root issue; not dwelling on the very thing that every single word of this song screams out to the believer: the pure, undefiled, completely other-centered "agape" love of Jesus Christ. If you truly meditate constantly on His love, and are satisfied with it alone, you'll find true freedom from all your problems. It doesn't mean you won't be challenged, it means things will be MUCH easier for you.

@MrTheboss388 Jesus was always despised by the Pharisees and high priests for proclaiming that he was the son of God and thus they sought to kill him. He died on the cross to take on himself the penalty for our sin against God. Such a sacrifice was needed because all people have sinned and since God is just and holy, he cannot ignore our sin. So God became human so that he could take the penalty for our sin. This is the main concept but I can go more in depth if you wish.

@MrTheboss388 well he was liked by the common people but the leaders hated him because he showed thier sin and went against tradition. someone said that it was God's plan with Barabus to make the people vote to let barabus go. That isn't entirely true, if God MADE people do whatever he wants he would have made us robots who can't sin. those people had free will, but God did know they would do that. I suggest you read through the gospels as those will shed more light than anything I could say :)

I heard this in my car as I was driving to work the other day, and I wept..... I wept because my soul felt touched by God's hand for the first time in over 2 years. I havent been to Church, havent spoken to Him for all this time, but suddenly I felt His hand touch me, and all I could do was weep....for no reason other than relief, freedom, love, purpose, reason. I thank God that Brandon Heath heard the Holy Spirit to write this song, which no doubt's touching thousands of hearts round the world.

@700Rissa I know the feeling. I heard "You lift me up"by the Afters the other day and it gave me hope that no matter how far we may stray(or think we have) The Good Shepherd is always there to bring us back into the fold. I know there is nothing that can seperate us from the love of God.

He's talking about fatherly love. I don't if you've ever heared of God the Father. You can start reading in the bible, the book of John in the New Testament. It talks about Jesus' life. It has parts where Jesus calls God Father.
