I was just wondering what was so special about the engine start up. I was a helicopter mechanic in the army and I didn't catch anything special about this vid unless it was just supposed to be a helicopter starting up and taking off....which is not amazing to me but still..is cool...i guess.

Usually when a video is posted to the internet it is unusual or extreme in some way. When I first watched this I was expecting it to crash or explode or something.

It's still a great with the video and sound, it's just not the first time I've seen helicopters bust a nut taking off from a landing pad.

i love the sound of a helicopter starting up and the way thd nose drops to pull away. it was right what was said in the film, when the pilot lifts the collected lever, the pich on the blades change. you can also tell when its about to lift off by the sound of the blades. thanks for posting this video.

Helocopter have A LOT of gears. Engine to Transmission via thin tube drive shaft to blades.

Main gear is called the planetary gear.
