  • @TheRecordReporter Hi, I have pair of direct drive Gemini TT02 Mk2 turntables ive had them a few years now and have served me well. I have since gone digital and bought a digital vinyl system. I use the turntables to control the vinyl and 1 deck seems to be working fine with only very slight pitch flutter -+ 0.01% which is perfect but the second decks pitch does not sit still and in the software can jump up and down 2% which makes beatmatching a bit trickier. I have resear

  • @steto280507 ched how to set the tonearm and counterweight and have leveled the feet under the deck so the turntable is set up perfect but still the bpm and pitch will not hold. I am running brand new ortofon carts and brand new slipmats I have even swapped the leads around checked the grounds but still no joy. After watching video this i am going to follow this procedure when i get home and hopefully this solves my problem. Thank you

  • @steto280507 Good luck! Hope the procedure works/worked for you.

  • This worked great on a Technics SL-3300, fixed an unusable turn table into one that is rock steady.

Thanks for sharing this video in such great detail!

  • @The911nut You're welcome! Glad to hear you were able to get your turntable back in action!

  • I have the sl-1410... No problem playing but has a broke speed nob wish i could find one....but this looks like a good video plus even if your turn tabel is fine i would still do this every few years anyways......

  • @chris2crazzy Thanks for checking out the video. Good luck finding a new knob for your SL-1410.

  • Worked well on my sl 1300. Thanks

  • @doborys Glad to hear it! Thanks for the comment.

  • Worked like a charm. I have a SL-3300. Thanks for posting, I was about to give up on my old friend. I like your blog too!

  • @AudreyElizabethB That's great! Thanks for the feedback and for checking out the blog. Glad to hear you liked it!

  • There is a WireWorld DEOXIT

  • @cyrillapin I was thinking of "Caig" brand DeoxIt. I'm not at all familiar with the WireWorld stuff, but maybe it's similar. It's best if you can find something that comes in a pressurized spray can rather than a squeeze tube.

  • Hi,Thanks for the Info

  • Than You,It is possible to use wd-40 or White Spirit ?

  • @cyrillapin Hi, I've not used either of those, but I'd really try to get some actual "tuner cleaner" or other electronics contact cleaner (like "DeoxIt") if you can. I've heard that WD-40 can help, at least temporarily, but it can also make things worse in the long run - mainly by leaving a gummy residue that will attract even more dust and grit. I wouldn't recommend it. I believe it can also damage plastic and rubber, so you have to be extra careful about what it gets on.

  • Thank you so much for making and posting this video! I have an older Technics SL-210 that has had speed problems for years: I followed your suggestions tonight, and now it works perfectly! Thank you again!!!

  • @mmay519 You're welcome. Glad to know it helped! Thanks for taking time to comment!

  • Thank you sooo much for this, I just got an old direct drive micro seiki and it is refusing to play at speed 33 but had no idea what I needed to clean or how to go about it.

  • @emmaiselectrifying You're welcome :) I hope you can get it running again. Micro Seiki made very nice turntables!

  • Thank you so much dude!

  • @CphWebfilm You're welcome. Hope the video (and/or blog post) helped you out. Thanks for the comment!
