Why that fire truck is called "American LaFrance" ??? Is it a link with France ???

@MF443 American La France is the name of the company that built the truck. They built several models over the past 140 some odd years. I own a 1970 1000 series ladder chief, basicly the same truck as shown in the video but in a lower profile.

We have a '72 model ALF that looks just like that. Still use it on rare occasions if our tower ladder is down.

That was the actual sound of Ole Myrtle. If you are talking about the sounds I added to the silent movies I have placed on YouTube, I would suggest that you just turn your speakers off when you watch them.

Sounds & looks great. My department has a 78 Alf Century that is still a first out engine. Unfortunately it has the smaller detroit so it is a little slow but sounds awesome.
