Damn near impoosible to find a raw footage of the earth.
I WANT the unfiltered -black and white if you have to- footage, this has obviously been touched up to the point of appearing like a computer-generated fake.
@miketite NASA would never allow that to be displayed. The real footage of the Earth would show the polar openings into the Hollow Earth. That is where the gray aliens come from.
look for the dish network one it is not "touched up" at all. You can only really see the earth for about half of the 24 hour time lapse though. the sun is in the way the other half.
The last 10 seconds show what may very well be the South Polar opening to the inner Earth very well. If it is not that than WTF is it that is thawing out so much freakin ice in the middle of an otherwise frozen Antarctica? You tell me! Thank you plod985!
@callowaymotorcompany Yes, there are several cloud holes between Antarctica and Australia but the spot I am talking about is well within the confines of the Antarctica ice shelf. It is straight down from Western Australia at 1:37 in the video. There is a wedge shaped region of bluish white with the tip of the wedge pointing straight down towards the bottom of the frame. At the tip/bottom of the wedge a darker, bluer, circular spot can be seen. That is the area I am talking about.
And another thing, anyone notice the dark areas deep in the interior of Antarctica? The smaller of the two seems quite circular, eh? Why would everything surrounding this area be locked in ice but here we have some sort of unfrozen area? Can you say South polar opening to the inner Earth? With warm waters melting some of the adjacent ice cap! Looks like one got past the censors! Galileo's primary mission wasn't to be looking at Earth so they didn't check to doctor up the polar opening! Sweet!
To those who question cloud movement, this is not from a geosynchronous satellite that moves with the rotation of the Earth like you are familiar to seeing on TV news. Cloud movement relative to land masses is difficult to perceive from a relatively fixed point in space since the spin velocity is so much faster than the cloud velocities. Also, one would expect the glare of the Sun to stay in the same spot from such a vantage point... and so it is.
I don't know about all of you, but being a total moron myself, I can definately tell that the earth's axis and its wobble are all definately wrong ! The earth should be more erect standing than this according to the 2012 doomsday scenerio.aboutthe earth completing its wobble. This looks very fishy....
where does it say that these pictures are being taken exactly facing the earth? the angle you see is probably caused by the placement of the camera .... but it looks like the normal 23.5° angle of tilt to me.....
Thats what I figured that it was the reflection of the Sun I just thought that the Sun being as far away as it is would be more diffuse and not have a concentrated glare in one spot. As for the clouds we have a giant globe at my school that timelapses through a month and you can see storm systems and hurricanes. Its really neat. However it does not rotate so maybe the fact that this is rotating could have something to do with it, but your probably right its probably something really simple.
But because the time scale is small (12 hours to go left to right) and it is a time lapse and these are huge systems moving rather slowly (in those 12 hours), you can't perceive motion.
But compare South America at 0:00 with 0:27 and 1:05 and in those 24 and 48 hours the cloud cover looks completely different.
there are very few planets that look and act like ours that we could have a satelite in orbit of. people say the dumbest things sometimes. duhh, this is mars geesh!
I've visited that place a couple times. Not bad.

I for some reason look at this with almost sorrow, such a beautiful planet/place, with the most corrupt and fucked up shit happening on it.

We are lucky to live in a time where we are able to see the earth from space.

Wow, when you look at earth, "our home" ....it hardly seems possible that we are even able to exist!

@miketite We live in the year 2012 and I am yet to see real life footage of the
earth turning. This is ridiculous!
If you have seen the earth turning for real from space please tell me
where and how so I can see it for myself. Thank you.

@PlainObserver lol..Its a white cloud over an equally white antartica and a blue ocean. Nothing is opening to anything.

this isn't real because he clouds dont move and there is a reflection on the clouds!!

This isn't the real thing. How stupid! Disney did better animation in the 60's.

Ok two questions, why don't the clouds move at all and what's the strange glare in the center of the Earth.
jjupiters318 3 years ago
The glare is the reflection of the sun on the sea.
The clouds, dunno... I think they should be changing with the winds and stuff. There must be some simple explanation though.

I can see it now if you pick one spot and look at it but this must be on a loop because 0:00 and 1:05 look exactly the same to me.
jjupiters318 2 years ago
well it is a 25 hour period according to the description, perhaps you are seeing the same part of the earth.
Nosliw87 2 years ago
it never looks like the clouds are moving when you see a planet from space.
but rest assured they ARE or that simply wouldnt be a real earth. :)
minichuaman 2 years ago
@jjupiters318: The clouds are moving, look closely at the continents (you don't really see the motion above water).
The glare is the Sun's direct reflection off the water.

Very beautiful. The Earth rotates at more than a thousand miles per hour and orbits at 68,000 mile per hour.
