This video is very interesting by the way. Especially the mathematics, haha. He states that the jet has "a 450 gallon gas tank" and that jet fuel burns at "21 lbs CO2/gallon" and that therefore it creates "9,493 lbs CO2/hour..." This would ...be correct if the jet happened to use its entire fuel tank in an hour. However, if there's one thing I learned in my aeronautics course in highschool, it's that jets don't fly very well when they run out of fuel...

The only problem that I see with the story, well other than the obvious hypocracy of old Al, is that the figure of the 450 gallon fuel tank is incorrect. The number 450 gallons would be about what the G-II burns in a half hour instead of the tank contents.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Good catch. Jet A is about 6.5 lbs per gallon. I flew a Falcon 20 (similar..but even smaller) and it burned through 2000 pounds per hour. That's about 350 gallons per hour. A five hour flight would easily require 1600 gallons of fuel...plus reserves.

He states that the jet has "a 450 gallon gas tank" and that jet fuel burns at "21 lbs CO2/gallon" and that therefore it creates "9,493 lbs CO2/hour..." This would ...be correct if the jet happened to use its entire fuel tank in an hour. However, if there's one thing I learned in my aeronautics course in highschool, it's that jets don't fly very well when they run out of fuel...

The only problem that I see with the story, well other than the obvious hypocracy of old Al, is that the figure of the 450 gallon fuel tank is incorrect. The number 450 gallons would be about what the G-II burns in a half hour instead of the tank contents.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Good catch. Jet A is about 6.5 lbs per gallon. I flew a Falcon 20 (similar..but even smaller) and it burned through 2000 pounds per hour. That's about 350 gallons per hour. A five hour flight would easily require 1600 gallons of fuel...plus reserves.

well..made us more aware..now whether he lives his life according to how Hannity see's it..isn't his call, nor ours. And the fact remains...bias seeing that we only hear Hannity's side, on the manner. So i rather use my senses on doing things that help the environment..what are you doing?
