  • Danni~Hey, I'm Beth, and I just wanna say THANKS to you and Mat for filming this experience! It's all I have to hang onto for my Surgery tomorrow-I'm getting a tangerine-sized tumor near my ovary taken care of. I'm really scared. You & what you did made my experience a little easier, so I just wanna thank you very much for what did (and are doing) for other people. You are very thoughtful & kind (and FUNNY!) . Hope you're all healed up now, and you feel great! Peace.

  • I have ovarian since 16,just the the time of completion of my secondary school yrs :]

Sometime i can felt the pain but i got share it to my girlfriends because they don know what is this :]

Now i have to said no boyfriends and sex because of this cyst :]

I felt like remove the ovarian because of the cyst.

I pretended to be normal by not thinking about the cyst to much :]

  • Im getting surgury too, and damn girl your halarious (im not a guy =o=)

  • I might have to have this done but I was wondering if they need to do a pelvic exam because if so I'm not having it do they

  • @mzzpayton Not only a pelvic exam but they insert a uterine manipulator to move the uterus out of the way. Ask all possible questions before any surgery.

  • @KeepStrumming: I thought that a cyst was a tumor since a tumor is described as a growth and a cyst qualifies as a growth. The difference is whether or not it is benign or cancerous.

  • OMFG im 16 and im having this surgery in about 11 days....the funny part is...im more terrifyed of the needles than the surgery itself

  • @mita4264 did u ever get the surgery? howd it go??

  • @KeepStrumming: Some cyst can be cancerous meaning they are a tumor especially if it consists of a solid material as there are cysts made with fat, and cells of teeth, eyes and hair. Also, you may have had 3 surgeries but just because you weren't scared, that doesnt mean that other people can't be.

  • Doctor can you remove the nasty tattoos and constant trash mouth too?

  • Just taking out the bull ring nose piercings would be a huge improvement.

  • Hi, Danni. I was dx'ed with borderline ovarian cancer in 2009, so I feel your pain. How big was your cyst? I had a 10 lb. tumor removed on the 18th of November. Thanks for making this; it was an interesting view.

  • Having watched all these vids, im now terrified of my opperation tomorrow. Except mine is the open surgery as my cyst is too awkward and large to remove via keyhole >.< ... im only 19 and now im s****** myself...

  • @Demonickitten666 omg me too!!

did you get it already, im 19 too. did it hurt

  • @tattiipr i'd had the open surgery not the keyhole...and yeah 2 b honest, only when moving. But i was back on my feet after 2-3 weeks with barely any movement. Knacks when coughing or sneezing. =( .... but considering the long term effects NOT geting the cyst removed, i'd advize anyone to get it done. =D

  • I had this done when I was 9. Mine ws twisted and blocking my large intestine, and the size of a large orange... Talk about PAINFUL. sucked so bad. now I am 14 and doing just fine with 1 ovary.

  • oh gosh I'm getting this done tomorrow...I'm PETRIFIED! did they test it for cancer? Did you get a CA125? My doc doesn't think I have it and it doesn't look like it....but he said they all have to get checked?

  • Thank you for this. I having this surgery done in a few weeks and Im very nervous and scared.

  • haha dude i wished i saw this before my surgery. im 19. just before christmas they found 23 cm cyst on my left ovary and a 3cm one on my right. had the surgery new years eve during the day ( no way to drink the night away, it blew). but they had to do a laprotomy ( was so glad that i didnt need a shitty vertical incision ... but now looks like ive had a c-section)... dude all-in all your videos definitely kick ass! all the best (:

  • @asterisks0987 man that sucks, did they say why they didn't do laproscopic? it only left me 3 little scares. you can't even see the one in my belly button. i hope everything turned out ok with yours. i hope you feel better at least.

also thanks for watching the video, it's up here for people like you and I.

    -DANNI

  • @DANNIgurl41986 the thing was right up against my belly button. literally football sizing it (no teeth or shit which i was stoked about). they didn't want to risk puncturing it AT ALL. the scar is only about 4 inches. within a week i was fine (just restrictions with lifting). the only thing that sucks now is the scar tissue, adn they left the right cyst in so theres some pain from that .watched this now cause im actually post -op from jaw surgery and right bored, wouldve been cool to see pre-op

  • one more thing...

maybe I missed something on the vids, but I was wondering, how did you know you had the tumor? What were your symptoms?

  • @JillBlackmore its actually a "mucinous cystadenoma" it is a tumor or so my doctor told me. lol. the difference is that a cyst will eventually go down but tumors will not. its what my doctor told me later after the surgery.

  • Hi Danni,

I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU for this video. I will be having surgery on April 14th for the exact same thing you had and I'm pretty scared.

This video answers ALL the questions I had and really puts me at ease because the doctors did not tell me any of the details just yet.

Your courage has really inspired me and I feel after watching this that I can face it better.

Thanks again for putting this together, there is no other video like it out there!!

  • @JillBlackmore dude, no problem. thats why i put this together, because when i went looking for something to ease my mind about it there was nothing. there was no one willing to share their story or tell me what they felt. anyways, i hope everything goes good for you in April. you will feel like shit for a few days but it goes by fast.
