  • I showed this to my mother who commented "...isn't this song from Gypsy?" (it is...well, without the mentions of a video store and yes the original is just as off-key). Love it!

  • "I'm Anne Morrow Lindbergh, I can't find my bay-beeeeee...."

  • "I can't believe I'm on a first name basis with these people." LMAO! Such a great line.

  • Queer.

  • So Awesome :))

  • Michael Jeter you are genius and the world is a sadder, poorer place without you. I miss you so much.

  • I LOVE YOU MICHAEL JETER AND I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU!

  • brillanta jajajjaja

  • If you do not laugh when watching this, check your pulse because YOU ARE DEAD! Michael Jeter died way too soon!

  • I usually dislike reposting a quote that is so obviously delivered in the video and unnecessary to post, but the line where he says, "I'm Anne Morrow Lindbergh, I can't find my baby!' kills me every time. Not an obvious joke to a causal viewer... (do those exist in Gilliam films?)

  • best. scene. ever. RIP JETER<3

  • love it

  • He sounds like... Rosie O'Donnell. He actually sounds like a woman.

    Did they edit his voice?

  • @Kimcee4younme Nope that's just the brilliance of Mr. Jeter!

  • 0:05 I can't even get past that part without laughing my ass off.

  • This scene is forever memorable! BEST SCENE EVER!

  • R.İ.P Michael. Great scene, great act and excellent movie.

  • classic scene...

  • I adore every second of Michael Jeter in The Fisher King!!! From ''I'm Anne Morrow Lindbergh, I can't find my baby" to "Venice! Like Katherine Hepburn on Summer Time!''

  • I love that he sings it 3 keys higher than it written for the woman (Ethel Merman) who originally sang this song.

  • Is he making that voice up? or is this a voice over??

  • One of the very best scenes in the movie. What a talented men....

  • OMFG his squeal at the end made my day...scratch that, my month!

  • Best scene in the best film ever

  • why did they not nominate to the Oscars that year?

  • My favorite scene from "The Fisher King." I forgot how funny it was.

  • I love that the shirt that Bridges is wearing in this scene is one of the great shirts he wears from The Big Lebowski!

  • Definetly one of the best scenes of the hole movie, maybe the best.

    I love this one.

  • @1h05 This wasn't in the Hole movie. That movie starred Shia Labeouf. This is The Fisher King.

  • @bluebettle lol I hope you're being sarcastic, because that was funny.

  • Watch his performance in this and follow with the Kevin Costner western "Open Range" and see how vast his range was! (his finest moment in this for me is his commenting on all the AIDS deaths while in Jeff Bridges' lap in the ER.)

  • I miss him

  • Absolutely, without a doubt one of the most hilarious moments ever captured on film. Michael Jeter!!!! AMAZING!!! I LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!!! Oh man, I gotta play that again.

  • Still lmao! Nobody else could have pulled that off so brilliantly. Damn, he was good!

  • A classic scene LOL.

  • Whenever I've had a bad day all I have to do is call up this clip. Michael Jeter is sorely missed!

  • I remember the first time I saw this scene, I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. Talk about selling it.... :)

  • when I was watching this movie in the theatre when it first came out, I was becoming rapidly bored with it. then Michael Jeter does this number and I was litterally in tears laughing right there in the theatre...damn what a way to turn a movie around!! Michael will be sorely missed!!!

  • Wow.

  • That had to be one of the most amusing things I've ever seen.

I agree, he reminds me of Nathan Lane a bit.

  • .........i need to see this.

  • Very good movie.

  • Requiescat in Pacem, Michael Jeter

  • his voice reminds me of NAthan Lane lol

  • My favourite film of all time.

  • I'm stunned be all of Mr Jeter's performances

  • Jeter is a sadly unrecognised King of acting

  • Why was this man allowed to die??? Really.

  • God needed an amusing angel, someone brilliant, to entertain Him. Having created the entire universe, He knew what to expect from most creatures - but He never knew what was going to come out of that 5'4", 120 lbs of pure, unfiltered genius. Who else can make us laugh and cry - often at the same time?

God knows a Talent when He sees one, and so He had to have him... (Anyone who ever worked with Micheal knows exactly what I mean; if I was God, I'd have him over for dinner every night too...)

  • what a shame he was taken from us too soon. lord only knows what joy he had left to bring us!

  • Classic!!

  • why can't they make movies like this these days? I really would like to know.. :(

  • God save Michael Jeter

  • He did.

  • god when he says free

    with the slight thrusting motion

    he stole my heart

  • This is one of the GREAT performances on film by one of the great comic/dramatic actors of our time. Michael Jeter: you are so very much missed in this world.

  • Ditto.

  • this film is the best ever made! so nice, it always makes me cry.

this scene cannot be missed from the film!

    sooooo fantastic!!!

  • That outfit wouldn't have worked without the 'tache!

  • This is one my favorite comic performances ever. Michael died way to young.

  • This is without question one of the funniest scenes ever put on film.

  • Genius. This is Gilliam's best film.

  • It's Mr. Noodle's brother, Mr. Noodle!

I loved this movie when I first saw it in 91 I was 29 years old, I now am 45 and it still is a favorite. At age 43 I became a mom for the first time, and although I have loved Micheal Jeeter's comic and dramtic brilliance. I had no Idea he was a semi regular on SESAME STREET til this past few months. Kids today can see him as Mr. Nooodle's brother Mr. Noodle on Elmo's world.

I'm tierd hope I make sense, and if not so what LOL

mom to a toddler at 45

  • this film is amazing

    this part is hilarious

  • Amanda Plummer's Response = Priceless!

  • In deed!! Best movie ever made in my opinion and best performance by each and every actor that was cast in this move. Amanda was great and Michael absolutely adorable..remember the scene "I wanna by katherine hepburn"? hilarious

  • :) it was sooo funny.he was such a good actor.he was amazing in this film.thanks for posting it.

  • :) it was sooo funny.he was such a good actor.he was amazing in this film.thanks for posting it.

  • I miss him. He was so talented

  • He seriously is a comedic genius!!

I love this scene and I love "I'm Anne Morrow Lindbergh, I Can't Find My Baby!" and "You Must Be She!" and just everything about this performance!

  • He cracks me up, everytime I hear "I'm Anne Morrow Lindbergh, I can't find my baby!"

  • Michael Jeter was the icing on top of this magnificent cake...

  • It never fails to make me laugh when Jeff Bridges says, "I can't believe I'm on a first name basis with these people." in the elevator.

  • Michael Jeter told a great story about this scene. Originally he was to sing a parody of WILKOMMEN but Jeter refused, saying "no self respecting deranged drag queen wants to be Joel Grey! They want to be Merman!" The filmmakers weren't able to get the rights to GYPSY, though, but Jeter ran into Jule Styne at a party and as you see in this scene, he can be persuasive.

And he was totally right: it works a thousand times better than Wilkommen would have.

  • That's awesome!!

  • What a great story! That's one for the archives!

  • Thank you for posting this scene - one of the best ever filmed (IMHO)!

  • Wow!

  • This is the most amazing scene in one of the most amazing movies ever.

  • Only 90 pounds dripping wet and a voice that rocks the rafters, Michael Jeter literally stole the movie from Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams! Way to go, Mr. Noodle.

  • One of my favourite movie moments EVER. i love this so much!

  • One of the best moments EVER in cinema. Bless his heart.

  • I love this movie.

  • ''Jack, I'm a man with a mission.'' OMG this was so funny, weird but funny.

  • Sublime, le genre de scène dont on ne se remet jamais tout à fait.

  • brilliant....

  • One of the deerest men on the planet... thank you so much for posting

  • thank you for that.
