  • @bluegrassingman, Having played several Collings and many many Martins, I would rather have a new Collings than a new Martin. A new Collings might even give a few of the 70's Martins I've played a run for their money. And as for Blueridge... good guitars, I own one, but not as nice as Collings. Not even close.

  • BluegrassFAKERMAN - we're still waiting for you to post a video of something to show that you can even PLAY guitar, not just sit in your mom's basement and talk trash.

Ignore this FAKERMAN - he can't even play!

  • haha you guys went to town on this video. Dude called me a wanker...I'm sad now

  • Wanker!!!!!!!

  • bluegrassfakerman - didn't think you would take the challenge. Looks like you're all talk, no walk. Not surprised you can't back up the idiot statements you make. Until you post a video showing us you know ANYTHING AT ALL about bluegrass flatpicking, we'll continue to ignore your idiotic stupidity. At least now everyone can see what a bluegrass"faker"man you really are. Obama would be proud of you. Keep posting from your mom's basement and leave the bluegrass comments to people who can PLAY.

  • bluegrassman - your comments show you have no idea what you are talking about, and that you are rather stupid. Show us some of your flatpicking skills - or are you one of those guys that likes to talk stuff because that's all he can do? Let's see if you can do more than talk - post a video of you flatpicking some bluegrass tunes; You are "bluegrassman" after all, aren't you? Or is that just a name? People who talk smack like you generally can't back it up. SHOW US YOU CAN! We'll be waiting.

  • bluegrassman - too bad Martin has been loosing market share tp Collings, Huss & Dalton, Bourgois, etc. for years. If you knew anything at all about bluegrass, you'd know many of today's top flatpickers choose to play collings over the crap that Martin has produced the nlast 20 years.

  • @kipperr11 Yes a few bluegrass pickers use. The over priced Collings no one said they didn't. Can they say since 1833? Martin can, They can't. LOL you better stop smoking that shit. Your dreaming some dumb shit.

  • Should have went back and shot this after he got through turning..DAMN!

  • @bluegrassingman Blueridge seriously cannot compete. They just don't meet the same level of quality control as Collings or Martin or Taylor. Music is not a competition so it's not about what's the best, it's about what you can have the most fun with while playing. I have the most fun with my handbuilt dreadnought from Tim Metcalf in Tennessee. Just find what you like and play it, there's no right or wrong, just make music!

  • @Musicislove123 I agree that Martin (unarguably) are the most sought after guitars, with some of the Collings (e.g. D2H or D1A's) being close behind...but you really have to checkout some of the Blueridge models. Some of the early 2000 models with the spruce top (e.g. Br-60) are absolutely amazing guitars...the one I have could hang with a post 2000 martin any day...

  • @Lewey8705 I'm a Martin Lover I have a 1973 D35. Couldn't ask for a better sound. I have a Br 160 Blueridge and it will hang with any guitar on the market.Your right Blueridge guitars are amazing, and are made very nice.

  • @Lewey8705 All the Blueridges today, are all spruce tops.

  • @Musicislove123 Taylor is the biggest piece of shit. As far as music. There is a right way and wrong way.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Right and your way since you seem stuck in your own world is the right way. You have no credentials whatsoever, what makes you think anyone is going to take you seriously on the Internet of all things? If a guitarist's skill is measured by his ignorance, you would be the best in the world.

  • @Musicislove123 If you want A Collings. More power to you. You can waist all your money if you like. I don't care, if you like to believe Collings is so great. Thats your choice. I'am a Martin Man. Theirs alot better guitars out there then Collings.

  • @bluegrasssingingman I didn't say I wanted a Collings. you did, now grow up, you're not here to learn or even discuss. You're just like so many people who are only interested in their own opinions.

  • @Musicislove123 I don't think he has ever been anywhere to learn or discuss anything. Case in point : "waist your money" and "Theirs alot better guitars out there"

There is no arguing logic or reason with someone like that.

  • @Musicislove123 Why not they do own the USA now. As far as Taylor they are, one of the biggest piece of shits ever made.

  • You look just like Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad.

  • Get your fingers off the tuning pegs and play the darn thing man...

  • Comment removed

  • @bluegrasssingingman i decided to comment on your comment. You must be working for martin inc again.Collings are handmade in U.S.A. Don't believe me ask Lyle Lovett. Stay employed and outta youtube.

  • @zaoribah Don't matter if it is USA made. Collings are over rated. Blueridge is made in China. Which is made by Saga. Collings can't touch a Blueridge.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Collings is better then Taylor.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Collings can't touch a China made Blueridge? Are you serious or typing funny

  • @zaoribah I'm not laughing. I must be serious. I know you never played a Blueridge. Go play one. The BR-160 was voted 3rd best guitar on the market. It will hang with any guitar, and smoke most of them.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Blueridge guitars are absolute junk. The pawn shops here in Nashville are filled with those pieces of shit. You almost NEVER see a used Collings for sale. There is a reason for that. When you get ahold of the best guitar you have ever played you hold onto it.

  • @timbov1 What do you know? Why don't you learn how to play real music. Collings is over priced junk. MMM real nice Collings. Junk that you spend more time tuning.

  • @bluegrasssingingman I know you get overly offended by negative comments about Blueridge guitars. You might want to mention that to your therapist. And real music? What are talking about? You don't even know what kind of music I play. Collings are made in the U.S.A. Blueridge are made in China. Enough said. I guess we are all just more American than you!

  • @timbov1 What are you talking about? From your videos looks like rap. MMM not to many guitars being played in rap. Martins are the best since 1833. Oldest guitar company on the market today, for a reason. Not Collings. As far as your comment being from China. Their not to dumb. China owns the USA now. China has more smarts. Then the Libs. and Obama.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Also more smarts then you.

  • @timbov1 you are fool of shit

  • @zaoribah MMM at lease the China BR-160 stays in tune. So you want a Collings which is a copy Martin, and cost 3000 more then the Martin it copies. Tell me how can Collings make a good copy of a Martin? When they can't make a guitar that stays in tune?

  • @zaoribah I don't care if they are made in the USA. Collings is still a copies of MARTINS.Collings still cost a $1.000 to $2.000 more. Then the MARTIN their trying to copy. Way over priced. I own top of the line MARTINS. Collings are not in there ball park. I will give Collings this. They are better then Gibson and Taylor. Just because they say made in the USA. People thinks it means, there so much better. People act like people from China are dumb. China owns the USA now. How dumb are they?

  • @bluegrasssingingman Dude, if you think Martins are better made than Collings guitars, you are really ignorant. A friend of mine who makes custom guitars and mandolins and who has repaired hundreds of Martins, mostly due to neck issues, says Collings are the best made guitars he has seen due to the neck design and precision with which they're made. Bill Collings won't let a guitar with that is out of specification in the least go out the door. BTW, I do not own a Collings but wish I did.

  • @jocwalk Then enjoy your copies of Martin guitars. Your talking out your ass. Can Collings say since 1833, Time will tell, and I don't think so. There is nothing wrong with martin necks. You sit here and run down Martins, and brag on a guitar. That copies every design Martin has. from the inside out.

  • @bluegrasssingingman You love that "since 1833" crap don't you? Who CARES when a company started? The neck design on a Collings is TOTALLY different, MUCH better than a Martin. I'm not "running down Martin." I'm saying TAKE OFF THE MARTIN BLINDERS! Who plays a Martin most of the time? Grier? Nope. Sutton? Nope. Kilby? Nope. Josh Williams? Nope. Roy Curry? Nope. Steve Kaufman? Nope. Maybe, just maybe, they know guitars better than you?

  • @jocwalk Lets name just a few, Tony Rice. Marty Stuart. Del McCoury. Vince Gill. Karl Shiflett, Dan Tyminski, Ron Block, Clay Hess, James King, and Ronnie Reno.

  • Great stuff man! What song did you say you were playing? I would love to learn how to play it...and that style in general.

  • spent the whole time tuning it....

  • haha i was in that very room a week ago!

yep the $6000 collins would be nice to have

  • What a wanker! Waste of time.

  • nice stuff man
