  • elliot dude, you have inspired me so much since i discovered our channel a few months back. i have increased in strength so much over the past 8 months (roughly since i have been doing strength training). Thanks mate :)

  • is that scooby @ 3:00 with that hat on

  • @14paste14 yes schooby :)

  • @14paste14 no. scooby has less trapeze muscles

  • is dat nick best giving him the award

  • is that scooby at 3:02

  • and the winner is...... THE ONLY COMPETITOR WITH HIS SHIRT STILL ON!!

  • stuff of legends.

  • gullysquid: No, these lifts must be done separately, allow yourself 48 hours rest between muscle groups to ensure proper recovery. When you exercise you tear down your muscle fibers and they require adequate rest. If you do bicep curls on Monday and then Tuesday repeat the same workout, you'll just continue to tear down your muscles.

  • Can anybody answer my question. . . are all this different types of lifts on the same day or different lifts different days? It'd be cool to be Professional in something. Even if it's just your hobby, not your job, you just do it cause you love it. It'd be cool to look back at life or say when your older you were a Pro at something. I mean a pro in motocross, strongman, fishing or whatever.

  • @gullysquid Pretty sure all of the lifts that Elliot is doing in this competition happen on the same competition day, but in training they're worked on separate days throughout the week.

  • @cyspy thats amazing! I wonder after a thing like that you just eat a huge meal and sleep then eat huge meal and sleep. I can't figure out what that is called at 00:56. I have one at my gym. Is it for deadlifts? Or for squating? Thanks ahead if ya can answer this question.

  • @gullysquid It's called a trap bar, and is a different way of deadlifting that uses mostly legs and puts less stress on the lower back. Although this trap bar looks higher than usual, most likely to simulate an 18" deadlift. And yes, after a competition I image most people just eat and sleep for a few days and do nothing. I know after my first competition I was out of commission for 3 days before I could lift again.

  • @cyspy thanks man.I want to get my lower back and core much stronger. I lift for go,not for show but I am noticing when I pull weeds or the like, my lower back gets weak fast. Also I've noticed I'm weak when I carry rocksalt bags or something kinda heavy when I'm walking. I'm thinking about adding in a workout of carrying heavy weight for like 30 steps, 3 sets once a week and traps heavier. Thanks for the info guys.Always good to hear from someone who actually knows knows what their talking about.
