Have you ever farted but to your surprise it wasn't just air--it was some slimy, mucus wad of diarrhea? Now your whole buttcrack was filled with slimy diarrhea, and you thought "Oh, FUCK!!". But you were in class, or on a date, so you had to just sit there and act normal. But soon you started to stink like a baby's diaper, and people started looking at you....
Chomsky was walking his poodle through the woods when he felt the urge to pee. He looked for a deserving tree and when he chose one and approached it, he was surprised to find Burl Ives sitting at the base of the tree reading the Gita. Chomsky unholstered his dick and Burl Ives grabbed it and yanked on it with over 330 Newton-metres of force. It broke. Then then Michael Moore walked up and buttfucked both of them.
Nick Jonah fucked Justin Bieber in the poop chute, and then he spritzed Tabasco sauce on Bieber's dick. Then Screech from Saved By The Bell showed up and rubbed Vaseline on everyone's dick and hung Christmas tree ornaments from their testicles. Next, Screech inserted a cooked bratwurst into Nick's asshole, I mean WAY in there, then he pulled it out AND ATE IT.
Michael moore ate 5 bowls of All Bran cereal and a full can of peanuts and washed it down with a half gallon of expired milk and 32 oz. of porter style beer. He then ate an entire 16 inch deep dish pizza (solo) and an entire skillet of scrambled eggs covered with bleu cheese. He did this while he listened to The Dixie Chicks on his iPod and as he tried to masturbate to Rosie O'Donnell's image on TV.
So then that pig, michael moore, began farting with the same force as a gamma ray burst from Eta Carinae, a forewarning of things to come. He squatted on the toilet and began watching The View, streamed live on his laptop. He grunted--"Unnngh, ouch, unngh..." as he fought like a woman in labor to forcefully blow a brick-like plug of mucus / poop out his ass, splashing the urine-filled toilet water up against his ass, and with enough violence to trigger car alarms in his neighborhood.
Next, those scrambled eggs came out with the consistency of butterscotch pudding, smelling like a cross between cooked meat and sulfurous rotten eggs -- yummie! Finally, a deluge of foul smelling, watery diarrhea came pouring out, pungent enough to set off his smoke detector.
The problem is corporatism. If the government regulated them and made it so they had no loop-holes in the system than that would solve 90% of the problem. Then all they would have to do is make it so health care is cheaper for everyone. There was no need to reform the whole system.
This guy is a documented pathological liar... I could not trust him as far as I could throw him... and thats not very far. I doubt when his fat ass has a heart attack that he will run his fat ass to a socialized country.
Have you ever noticed,,,, THE BIGGER THE LIB THE BIGGER THE ASS ? THESE FAT LEACHES SUCK FROM THE GOVERNMENT TIT LIKE NO OTHER.. AND THIS FAT HYPOCRITICAL FAT FUCK IS THE BIGGEST OF THEM ALL !
@pistol987 NO SHIT STAIN..I'M A 10 MILLION DOLLAR MAN..YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THOSE NEEDY LITTLE SHIT STAINS WITHOUT A DOLLAR IN HIS POCKET SUCKING WHOEVER'S DICK THAT WILL GIVE YOUR LEFT WING LIBERAL ASS 2 SECONDS WORTH OF ATTENTION..YOU NEEDY LITTLE EMPTY HEADED LIBERAL PRICK....RUN ALONG SONNY......
@pistol987 This nut job is your typical left wing nut case.. He gets his news from yung turds and jon stuart and has (one) friend in his miserable little life.. There is a common thread with liberal nut jobs..They all have no friends, hate their miserable little dead broke lives and are looking for others to pay their way in life. There is one person responsible for your being dead broke and dumb as a box of rocks.." YOU" LOOK AT HIM EVERY MORNING IN THE MIRROR,,DEAL WITH IT U NEEDY LIB PRICK !
@primusayso Nope, I'm doing just GREAT..I'll be doing even GREATER once we get this socialist idiot out of the White House..NOW YOU HOWEVER ,by way of your page, ..sound like a bat shit crazy lib without brain cell one in your little pop culture needy brain.
Put in browser - whitehouse.gov/blog/2010/10/19/adrienne-explains-how-college-students-are-benefiting-affordable-care-act Lucky Adrienne. She volunteers in her community & church because her parents continue to support her after they paid all her college expenses. Poor student paying off students loans (expenses another sham) has to work part-time because full-time work cannot be found in current economy and pays practically entire paycheck on coverage. This plan is a hand out to the rich.
Extending health insurance to children up to age 26 with the current unemployment rate is a sham. Most recent graduates working part time do not qualify. Only if they DO NOT WORK at all. That's because if an employer offers insurance, which is required by law with 50+ employees, grads must pay out of pocket for inferior coverage. Rich kids can take years off after graduation w/quality health care. Poor kids working part-time looking for full-time work get inferior coverage unless they quit jobs.
govt is bad! govt is what our forefathers wanted to minimize! cananda has socailized healthcare and thats why they are coming to the US for better healthcare!
Moore keeps talking about comparative HC statistics--just out of curiosity, what are the comparative and overall costs of a bloviating, obese, socialist hack?
The other fact that Single Payer advocates have wrong is that when they say America should have a Single Payer system because the rest of the Industrialized World has it. Wrong again Canada and Britain have Socialized Medicine run by their Government's but even Canada has Private Doctors.
France, Germany and Japan have a mixture of Public and Private Health Care. With Public and Private Hospitals and Doctors as well as Public and Private Health Insurance programs.
One of the problems that Single Payer advocates have is that some of their key facts are wrong. They say that with a Single Payer system that Health Care would be free, wrong. We would be paying for our Health Care in Higher Taxes which would be money coming out of our pockets. Not free. They also say Single Payer would be more effective and they point to Canada and Britain. But those country's have long Waiting Lists and those people come to America for Health Care.
Americans, get universal health care already. The other industrialized countries are making fun of you and how stupid you are. Mexico has a better health care system than you, if Mexican Americans are denied, they can go to their home country and get free descent care. If you want universal health care, you are going to have to fight for it. We Canadians had to, the federal government Corporations and media tried to stop it, but they failed. We love our health care system, and you need one.
@acdc30450 Well, get rid of Burgar King, laziness, obese people, and have people live healthy responsible lives and then maybe we can have socialize health care. How many fat Mexicans do you see compare to fat Americans. Socialize health care would fit America perfectly, lets not worry about paying for our health care and at the same time not worry about exercising, eating healthy and taking care of ourselves. It is like less pay less taxes but increase spending, oh, wait, we are doing that now.
@777danzig The US need socialised health care, all the other developed nations are laughing at you. I do agree that people need to take control of their own health by eating right and exercising. What you have right now is basically the government handing over money to insurance companies so they will insure more people, which is wrong. You need government run health care, that's the key. The run the military and emergency services, so why should they not run the health care system.
@acdc30450 The military protects us, cops protects law abiding citizens, fire fighters protect us from freak fire fighting accidents. If someone is in a freak accident a hospital can't deny someone a service no matter what something I do agree with. When someone starts a fire on purpose they get charge, fined, and serve prison time. So if health care is a government run service then anyone who can't run a mile in under 8 minutes should be charged, fined, and serve in prison.
@acdc30450 Plus, socialize health care has huge problems. First, it is unfair, unhealthy irresponsible people receive the same health care as responsible. To me, eating Doritos, drinking Coke, and smoking is no different than breaking every window in a public school and not paying for it if we have socialize health care. Well, solution, tax those things, then people don't buy them, jobs are lost, lower class people can't afford to buy healthy food so now the starve, but they have health care.
@777danzig Universal health care makes sure everyone get coverage. Granted, some people make bad choices, but it would be cruel to let them just die. What if a person is a former smoker and has been clean for over a decade and they get cancer, do they no deserve medical treatment. I don't know about America, but in the rest of the world health care is considered a human right that everyone deserves. It is not about profit. And the fire department part is funny because it happened in tennessee.
@acdc30450 Well, that smoker made a decision so they should have to pay for it themself. And is the big picture, people die all the time. My grandma had health care that cost our family lots of money for 3 years, and she still died, it is an unavoidable thing in life, really, prolonging death in my mind is a waste of time and money.
@acdc30450 Another thing, if people have the right to health care, then people should have a right to have a roof over their head, that prevents bad health. How about healthy food. We should give everyone free housing and healthy food. Also, this past winter I had to drive to work in a small car, with bad tires, and a crappy transmission. How about I get a reliable car so I can work, make money, pay taxes to provide health care. The big question is where do we stop? After health care, then what?
@777danzig I am not talking about prolonging death, I am talking about giving treatment that can help people even if they can not afford it. If some one has a condition that is curable, than they should receive treatment. A no one should be home less or have to go hungry, that is why we have food banks and shelters for the least amoung us because it is our to duty to do what ever we can to help them. Also, if you don't like your car, than why don't you take public transportation or car pool.
@acdc30450 Public transportation is a service that a paid for and isn't run by the government. My question is why can't the government just provide it for me so I don't have to pay? Anyway, I come from a small town so I have no public transportation. I drive 10 minutes to work at 4 A.M., 4 hours before anyone else and others I work with live 20 minutes from me. So I can't car pool. It would be stupid for someone to drive 20 minutes in a foot a snow, pick me up, and show up 4 hours early.
The premise of your question is wrong because whether the service is provided by the Public or Private Sector your still paying for it. Whether its in Higher Taxes or Fees.
@acdc30450 Anyway, homeless shelters and food banks are non profit charities, they aren't funded by the federal government. Some are funded by local government but for the most parts they are charities, we have lots of charities people voluntarily work in. I went to school with a kid that was in a horrible accident and lots of people donated money to help him. Also, the food given isn't great, and those shelters have lots of diseases, meaning socialize medicines won't be great.
@777danzig We need to fix those problems. I am from Canada and socialised medicine works great. Yes there are a few bugs but over all it is a good system. One of the main problems we have is that Aboriginals and people who live in rural areas have trouble getting to good care because they are so isolated from every one else and no doctor wants to live up there. And yes, Universal health care will not be perfect, but it will be better than the system you have now.
@acdc30450 And yeah, I am all for helping people and I do agree that we can do that, but it isn't the federal government's job to do it or make us do it. If you want better health care then live healthier. Only go to the hospital when you absolutely need too, less demand lower price. Buy health insurance to keep rates low for people with insurance that are actually sick, and 20 years down the road your rate will be low when you get sick. We can solve the health care issue ourself, it takes work.
@777danzig That might get us a head, but it won't fix the whole system. That is the same reason communism failed. Human beings are flawed and even if most people are charitable there will be some greedy people who will completely abuse the system. It only takes a few people to make an entire system collapse, like a deck of cards, if you pull one card than the rest of them will collapse. And some things are just un accounted for such as car accidents or you breaking an arm while playing football.
And for some people living healthy is not that easy. If you live near a factory that pollutes, than that air will get into your lungs and affect your health. Or if you work 14 hours a day and are a single mom you may not have time to work out or prepare a healthy meal. And in many low income neighbour hoods, super markets have vanished. All you have is corner stores and fast food joints, so it can be hard to eat healthy. Gym member ship can be a bit pricey if you live on a fixed income
@acdc30450 : What part of what you said in that blabbering comment isn't voluntary? Almost every town over a 20k population has a supermarket with local produce. Almost every city with a 100k population has a Health food store. I went to college almost completely free, spent a couple years roughing it, but due to that small sacrifice, I no longer have to live on a fixed income.
People are lazy and uneducated voluntarily! Gym membership? Get off your lazy ass and go jog!
@AClRCLEOFLlGHT I am not talking about small towns moron, I am talking about poor urban places like south side chicago where fast food chains and convenience stores have completely taken over because it is cheaper to buy a big Mac combo than by a head of lettuce. And the organic and health food stores are usually expensive so a single mom with two kids struggling to pay rent can't shop where upper middle class stable families shop. You got three college, but millions of people don't get to.
@acdc30450 : To me it sounds like you're the type who makes excuses for the lazy people on how they should be allowed to be lazy and do well. Life doesn't work that way. Talk to a small town person and ask them if they know where a farmer's market it. No matter where you live in the country, you can get healthy food. And cheap! If you work too much, move back in with mom and get your ass back in school. Too many idiots drop out, move out, then complain life is hard. *plays a violin*
@AClRCLEOFLlGHT Making excuses for lazy people huh ? So if you are denied by a health insurance company because of a hereditary disease, you are lazy ? If you get into an accident and your HMO skyrockets, you are lazy ? No one should be refused health care because they can not pay, it is just plain wrong to let some one die because they can not afford a 100, 000 $ surgery. And what about the millions of working people who are now un employed and can not find work, are they lazy ? Please tell me.
@acdc30450 : 1. Who with a college education live in these "poor urban places?" 2. Who in these places can't hop their lazy ass on a bus to get to a grocery store 2-3 miles away? 3. You're "cheaper to buy a McDonalds combo than a head of lettuce" comment is 100% incorrect, even incorrect to imply cooking yourself costs more period! 4. That single mom struggling to pay rent shouldn't have been a stupid teenager trying to have babies, or she could move back in with mom. All 100% voluntary!
@acdc30450 : Where was I? 5. Before I had insurance, I had surgeries and a collapsed lung. I couldn't pay the bills. Used the hospital's help staff to erase them with aid. You really should shut up b/c you don't know anything and you're talking like you do. Find me one person in america who's ever walked into a hospital needing medical care that was told to leave.
You've asked for me to tell you, and I've told you on every single point you tried to make. Get a freaking education!
@acdc30450 : Don't bother replying again b/c not once have you been worth listening to. Everything you've said was from assumption and hearsay from other uneducated people around you. Nothing you've said do you have any personal experience with. Your words lack wisdom, backing, and any education on such matters.
You can try to reply if you want, but I'd highly recommend otherwise. Seeing that up to this point, you've said nothing true or even creditable.
@AClRCLEOFLlGHT education! perhaps travel and then your narrow minded republican opinion may, and just may, stand up against the real people who havent been sheltered by ingnorance! idiot. seriously!
@tmcarthy : Travel? I've been to every state except Maine, I've been to Canada, Mexico, Argentina, England, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, China and Japan.
@AClRCLEOFLlGHT it sounds to me that you are a complete morone who looks after only yourself. i hope that if you are diagnosed your covered or you escape to Australia cause you wont want to fork out the hundreds of thousands its gonna cost to get you better! your a fear monger! look outside your pathetic country and realise that everywhere else that has universal healthcare is managing just fine. you dick!
The People Are The Bosses Of The Government. America Is Your Country, Don't Ever Forget That. When Corporations Take Advantage Of Your Citizens, Then That Is The Perfect Time For The Government To Stand Up & Step In For Its People.
@MapleBalls Well, maybe we shouldn't let corporations take control of us. If you don't like a certain bank or company, then don't do business with them. I don't deal with certain insurance companies because I don't like them. Us, as Americans have the power to do that, when the government steps in and starts controlling businesses then we lose that power, along with jobs and money.
The government is not bad? What? Does Michael Moore even like America, or the Constitution or freedom? What does Michael Moore have to say about the big governments of Nazi Germany, USSR or China. Heck, there are dozens of examples. Why do all of you think other countries are so poor?
@eric5335 Germany is poor? Japan is poor? China poor?!
Maybe Africa. As for Germany, that have had universal health care since 1871.
Please note, Germany is one of the most economically strong countries in Europe let alone the world. Not as strong as the US, but not too shabby considering Germany is the size of Ohio.
@navyboydjray Germany is Europes last best hope! They have a coalition with conservative and libertarian parties, and are the right direction of helping all Europe out of the crisis. But people tell them to spend more and more when it can not be paid back. Germany has not the same system as Denmark which is entirely based on the universal health care!
@eric5335 Michael moore is of the ilk where he believes corporations and business are the true destroyers of the earth, when the reality is often corrupt governments. He see's the solution as more government control against 'the man' and/or profit seeking behaviour, all the while not really understanding the economics at hand. People like moore would gladly regulate away freedom in favour of 'safety'.
The funny thing is that the US spends a much larger part of its GDP on health care than countries like Denmark and Sweden, and yet we outperform them without any problems...
@Kostasnascos But I don't see any cures from these countries, and I live in Denmark! What do you have to say about the polio vaccine? Or artificial limbs!
TheNads67 @HumanistWikitopian stop being shure look it up just because you dont like my country dosent make you right .wen I went to Florida last month oure money was worth more I got mor of the US dollard than Canadien its not by much you wont loose sleep over it 4 days ago
I compared income tax and sale tax rates in Canada and the US and they are basically the same. How is it that in Canada we can afford this service, but the US can't not? I just find it odd that US can band together in War and spend over 300 trillion dollar but when your fellow Americas are dying be cause they can't afford the basic medical care that they need they claim it is to much.
Its all MONEY! Rich people america don't want to look after the poor in america, FOR SHAME. And the republicans feed you bullshit like Socialism (instead of communism) and other retoric.
did I say is was defending the old system? I don't think I did. I don't even like Obama's system because it's not even true universal health care which countries like Cuba already have. It's pathetic that the USA is behind Cuba in anything.
@TheHomelessCripple the step obama initially attempted to take was universtal health care, but the insurance companies tried so hard to stop it, it it payed off, obama was only able to pass a baby step towards universal healthcare
@TheHomelessCripple lol what are you talking about. you make no scence, but then neither do I for wasting my time with someone with your small intellect.Oh and I was'nt trying to ager you wen I corrected you, everyone makes mistake, unless you think you are always right then you would need mental help.Remember anger is a sign of weakness and stupidaty.
I lol at your misrepresentation of the situation. But it's ok, people with egos as big as you usually are conceited and arrogant. It's ok that you didn't understand the joke. That just makes it funnier for me, cause now I get to lol at how stupid you are.
@TheHomelessCripple and no I don't get jokes that are not relavent from the facts ,and no I don't have a big ego ,not that I have a problem with people with big egos it is actualy healthy (coming from a counselor / psychologist )
@sjamesvfx I suppose that is somehwat true, but at least the rest of the world gets free health care and there is not a price on an individuals life like there is in America. And at least if the rest of the world gets seriously ill they do not have to worry about being sent a letter denying them healthcare and essentially denying them life.
Barak Obamas Health Care Legislation.... Will it improve american residents. . . ? US view point's matter!!! Come to my youtube channel page and learn more.
Lets hope your not American and lets hope that you don't get seriously ill one day and are denied health insurance. You might be calling him something different then...
oh how naive is he to say the government is for the people and by the people. its for the elite, by the elite. the elite dont give a damn about you, they give a damn about having this power.
@1217jesss yeah dude cuz the republicans done a fine job of dismantling it and making sure no money has gone into for the insurance companies. Im mean really how else are the republicans gonna scratch the backs of their freinds at haliburton or boeing unless they start wars that cost insane amounts of money.
@1217jesss you are an incompetent ignorant republican fanboy-you dont care about the content of politics-you just care for your party cause you are a stupid, dumbass fanboy
Michael assumes the government isn't corrupt and in bed with wall street. And he'd be wrong. Go read about the federal reserve and learn why you pay such a large capital gains tax
In YOUR opinion, the goverment is bad, corrupted and evil. The goverment shall not be responsible for any function that it is carring out right now? One should take out his lungs because of the lung cancer?
Are you suggesting revolution to take out this corrupted system?
Some people are obese and cause themselves to be that way therefore incurring preventable health issues. Not my problem. Some people have kids and cannot afford to take care of their health care. Not my problem. Some people smoke cigarettes and cause health issues. Not my problem. Bottom line, those that are accustomed to handouts will continue to take handouts until the pool is dry. If some people want government health care as a GROUP then let THEM pay for it as a GROUP. I want my own option.
Medical procedures can be expensive so we'll pool together money from everyone - those that don't go to the doctor will help pay for those that do... sounds good. What else can we do this with...
Houses can be expensive so we'll pool money together from everyone - those that don't live in a house will help pay for those that do... mmkay, need houses.
Cars can be expensive.... those that don't use a car will help pay for those that do.
Your life doesn't depend on a house, your life doesn't depend on a car. If you don't agree with a common sense solution to a service so essential, then why don't you advocate abolishing medicare, medicaid and social security? I've been paying for those from my income tax for years, fancy that, single payer. You would rather privatize that? Well then how is one more essential than another? What the hell are you guys thinking?
i don't know where you live but over here a house and a car are necessary if you want to be a productive member of society. Without a house I'd be living in the streets. Without a car I wouldn't be able to get to work. Without the internet I wouldn't be nearly as productive. Granted, without good health I wouldn't be very productive either. Many things make us productive, they don't all need to be socialized.
I want to see medical commercials on TV as frequently as I see car commercials.
Healthcare is a "BUSINESS".....It was created as a "BUSINESS"....It is "NOT" a "RIGHT" and it is something that is EARNED.....Our country was founded on Free Enterprise NOT socialized principles.....Healthcare needs to remain PRIVATE.....Maybe MediCare needs tweeked but no socialized medicine at the expense of the taxpayers......I have "NO" coverage and I'm OK with that until I get a decent job that covers some of it.
Sure, but it doesn't matter now, we don't have a public option on the table anyway. When Obama held the hearings and McCain talked about allowing people to buy insurance across state lines, Obama said "okay." He also endorsed many other recommendations by the repubs. They refused, and wanted to scrap the entire bill ! Why? I don't know, you tell me,.. pull out your ammo and lets go, buddy,...
Furthermore I disagree. It is a RIGHT because a child, for instance has no ability to EARN anything. If they have a parent without insurance it does not mean it is right to deny coverage. It is a RIGHT because someone who ends up in the emergency room cannot be left to bleed to death. If it were a RIGHT, we would have more people paying into the SYSTEM, RATES would be LOWER, the ER would not account for poor peoples COVERAGE and it wouldn't be such an ISSUE to be POLITICIZED for the ignorant
I wouldn't classify health care as a right. I might argue that it's a parent's obligation to provide healthcare for their own child but not for every child. If someone does help a child that is not their own then I give that person respect for their charitable act. You should try to persuade others to be as charitable as you are but if you force them to be charitable then it's not charity - it's coercion. No respect for coercion.
2tol: Eventually it's got to come down to the more equitable solution that protects us from corporate collusion, solves the problem, and generally makes more sense. Arguing this on a principled basis of private ownership ends up violating other principles down the line, and one is more consequential. We require people to have auto insurance because it jeopardizes another persons liability if you don't. It likewise jeopardizes the cost equation for all of us having this many people uncovered.
The federal gov't 'should' be fighting corporatism by protecting small, efficient companies from getting destroyed by cheap corporate tactics. The federal gov't needs to get companies to compete amongst themselves instead of collude.
I'm OK with car insurance - If I'm driving a car then I pose a greater risk (of death or serious injury) to other drivers than if I'm sick and at the movie theater, unless I have the bubonic plague. Risk of death > 'Cost equation'
I know the comparison is not apt, people are not required by law to own a car, but they carry the risk if they do. The cheapest way for the gov to stop colluding is a public option. If we allow states to mandate minimum standards, the companies collude on rates for other procedures, or pick and choose the states they get the best deals in. Again, the public option is trashed, the lobbying has destroyed it even though the majority of Americans favored it. It's a moot point for both of us.
This doesn't mean that people should be forced to buy insurance. I would disagree with such a provision. What it means is that a bare-coverage, bare-cost option should be provided that would level the playing field at the same time that it reduces prices because more people pay in. It's like having a mall with all the private insurance you want, but one of them is a state store. You don't want your tax dollars paying for it, even though we pay more in the end with inflated costs.
And furthermore, even though we're willing to pay taxes to give our grandparents and parents the exact same thing, for some reason we want other people who lack coverage because they don't have a job to shut up. But we end up paying for it in the end. The public option isn't even on the table anymore, so we at least need pre-existing conditions exclusions stopped. Unfortunately what is going to pass seems a travesty. Now we're going to have people fined for not having coverage. Great.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Would you take all your commy buds and try again some where else. Like Cuba. You are a fraud and jerk.Leave us alone michael. We can manage alot better without you and your leftist ideas.
@mrpcnomore of course you can do much better without him, I guess it's much better to keep your head up your ass since its peaceful and requires no thinking of any sort.
If this new health care is going to be so great, why isnt the President and the senate and congress going to be on the same plan? they dont want this crappy plan
@eric5335 The tax payers pay for health care for all the congress and senators, why can't we have access to the same health care plan?
I have lived in Europe for almost 10 yrs, and Japan for 3. There doctors seem to be doing alright. Do your self a favor and visit one of the countries that has universal health care. You will learn a lot.
Why not try Germany? That have had free health care starting way back in 1871. Amazingly it has not bankrupted them yet. We might learn something from them.
He does not sound like a tough grizzled old soldier but some kind of dandified Nancy boy, who is afraid of wars and he is indubitably no sea-dog but the sort of pasty landlubber I have always despised. I'll warrant, the most exciting thing that has happened to this limpid prawn in a whole year, was the day when he forgot to put sugar in his porridge!
They can deny you when they find out you have go to clinic where there are sick people there. Doctors, nurses and hospital workers can be divided into individuals and cases can be made.
"The US is the world's richest nation and the only industrialised democracy that does not provide healthcare coverage to all its citizens." - BBC News, 26 February 2010
Would it be possible for you to try and rephrase your point (if you have one) in coherent, grammatically correct English so that I can actually understand what you are trying to say?
@HumanistWikitopian well little man first finish school and University , get a dictionary that will help you understand. You cant let everyone explain everything for you , its a part of becoming a man(of growing up)
@HumanistWikitopian Now usually i get payed for this , but i feel bad for you . 1) You are clearly a disgrace to the Canadian education system given the illiterate, incoherent way you write and the childish ridiculous claims that you make.
Just a quick simple search of Google shows that at today's exchange rate £1 GBP = $1.54 Canadian dollars, 1.16 Euros, and 134 Japanese Yen.

I just gave you today's exchange rates, £1 Great British Pound = $1.54 Canadian dollars.
Do you have a problem with reading comprehension? Why is 80% of what you write full of spelling and grammar mistakes? Are you sure that you're really 22 years old?
America has a larger Economy then Britain, France and Japan combine and have a larger Per Capita Income then all of those country's including China. Americans on average make 44,000$ a year. Brits, French and Japanese make on average 35,000$ a year. The average Chinese makes around 7,000$ a year.
1) I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here with these statistics (as you have actually failed to make one).
Luxembourg, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands and Qatar all have a larger GDP per capita than the United States (according to the IMF, World Bank, and CIA World Factbook), but so what?
2) According to the latest United Nations Human Development Index (HDI), Norway, Australia, Iceland, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Finland, have higher standards of living than the USA.

@HumanistWikitopian Basically what you are left to justify is why in god's name you're treating America as equal to these countries despite a 70% obesity/overweight rate, which also happens to account for the majority of our hc costs? You're drawing a blatantly false equivalence here. Boy, I can't wait to see what happens when we force the healthy and responsible to underwrite the costs of the unhealthy majority in this country--and we'll call it "morally imperative" lest god kills a kitten.
i) Do you believe that your existing health insurance provider doesn't already provide coverage to other overweight/obese people? How do you believe that they calculate their premiums?
You are already paying the costs of your fellow citizens being overweight (notwithstanding the indirect economic loss to obesity in the USA, which was estimated to be as high as $117 billion in 2000).
You're only making my point. The fact that health insurance is one of the only forms of insurance that is not based on personal risk is exactly why the system is broken. Companies are allowed to overcharge and people never have to face the costs of their own behavior. It would be like a system of auto insurance in which you, no-accident Tom, would be charged the same rate (and more overall) as a methhead drunkard with a history of pile-ups.
@2000drpain86 Actually, the majority of our health costs aren't rooted in corporate conspiracies, they come from fatasses like Moore, who drive up insurance pool risk and consequently, costs. God I love how the entire country blissfully ignored our poor health throughout the health care debate. And what do we get? A special interest bill that taxes, mandates, fines, and overcharges the healthy and responsible to pay for obese, self-contradicting idiots like Moore.
@thereinliestherib I think you will find a lot of countries have obesity problems, but they don't charge 7 times more for a hernia operation like they do in the US.
US spends almost a fifth of its GDP on poor quality heath care, more than twice what other countries do and 45million are not covered, 18,000 of them dying unnecessarily every year. You think this is a good system?
@2000drpain86 The hernia thing is a good point, but it doesn't offer any generalization to justify your second point. The fact that we spend so much on health care only reaffirms just how poor national health has become, and how disproportionately risk has polluted our insurance pools. Such extraordinary risk won't simply disappear by forcing the public to assume even more liability, overall, for stupid behavior.
@thereinliestherib The obesity problem in the US is only slighty worse than the UK, the UK spends less than half as much on health care, this makes nonsense of your obesity theory.
"Forcing the public" You mean getting poor people to pay nothing and saving 18,000 lives a year and this is a bad thing?
The US is the only developed country with full private health care and also the only one with extorionate costs($5,300 vs Turkey's $446), because of the overheads, malpractise insurance etc.
@thereinliestherib The obesity problem in the US is only slighty worse than the UK, the UK spends less than half as much on health care, this makes nonsense of your obesity theory.

@2000drpain86 Obesity is only one indicator of overall poor health, and no, US rates simply do not compare with the UK. The majority of all health care expenditures in the US goes to treatment for ailments that bear direct causal relation to poor health: smoking, weight problems, lack of exercise, and drug/alcohol abuse. I'm not saying there aren't ways the system itself needs to be adjusted, just that the reason for the majority of our costs is an independent variable: American health.
@thereinliestherib Obesity in UK is 23% in US 30%, so yes you can compare them and this does not justify the more than doubling of the health budget.
"The majority of all health care expenditures in the US goes to treatment for ailments that bear direct causal relation to poor health." Yes the same as every other country obviously. I think you need to look at other countries health systems if you want to know how the US could improve, like France.
@2000drpain86 "...does not justify..." As a matter of fact it does. First, you're assuming UK health costs haven't also risen in correspondence with declining health, which they have. Second, a difference of 7% is no small figure since it equates to a cool 23.1 million people in the US. Third, obesity is only the MOST extreme indicator of poor national health among many other indicators of decreasing national health. "Like France." <-That oversimplification says it all.
ii) Besides, in terms of obesity, many countries aren't that far behind the US. Google the phrase: “Epidemiology of obesity”. Studies conducted in 2006 found that close to 52% of Australian women and up to 67% of Australian men aged 25 or over are overweight or obese.
@HumanistWikitopian Still much lower than the US, by millions of people and billions of HC dollars. Plus, even if we were on par with other countries (we're flatly not), then you're forced to defend the assumption that a 70% obesity/overweight rate (and skyrocketing) is a defensibly nominal value, a marker of a healthy modern society.

"MICHAEL MOORE'S DIETARY INDISCRETION"
A Food Love Story
Michael moore ate 5 bowls of All Bran cereal and a full can of peanuts and washed it down with a half gallon of expired milk and 32 oz. of porter style beer. He then ate an entire 16 inch deep dish pizza (solo) and an entire skillet of scrambled eggs covered with bleu cheese. He did this while he listened to The Dixie Chicks on his iPod and as he tried to masturbate to Rosie O'Donnell's image on TV.

The problem is corporatism. If the government regulated them and made it so they had no loop-holes in the system than that would solve 90% of the problem. Then all they would have to do is make it so health care is cheaper for everyone. There was no need to reform the whole system.

FRSFreeStatePlus 1 year ago

We love our health care system, and you need one.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Well, get rid of Burgar King, laziness, obese people, and have people live healthy responsible lives and then maybe we can have socialize health care. How many fat Mexicans do you see compare to fat Americans. Socialize health care would fit America perfectly, lets not worry about paying for our health care and at the same time not worry about exercising, eating healthy and taking care of ourselves. It is like less pay less taxes but increase spending, oh, wait, we are doing that now.
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig The US need socialised health care, all the other developed nations are laughing at you. I do agree that people need to take control of their own health by eating right and exercising. What you have right now is basically the government handing over money to insurance companies so they will insure more people, which is wrong. You need government run health care, that's the key. The run the military and emergency services, so why should they not run the health care system.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 The military protects us, cops protects law abiding citizens, fire fighters protect us from freak fire fighting accidents. If someone is in a freak accident a hospital can't deny someone a service no matter what something I do agree with. When someone starts a fire on purpose they get charge, fined, and serve prison time. So if health care is a government run service then anyone who can't run a mile in under 8 minutes should be charged, fined, and serve in prison.
777danzig 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Plus, socialize health care has huge problems. First, it is unfair, unhealthy irresponsible people receive the same health care as responsible. To me, eating Doritos, drinking Coke, and smoking is no different than breaking every window in a public school and not paying for it if we have socialize health care. Well, solution, tax those things, then people don't buy them, jobs are lost, lower class people can't afford to buy healthy food so now the starve, but they have health care.
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig Universal health care makes sure everyone get coverage. Granted, some people make bad choices, but it would be cruel to let them just die. What if a person is a former smoker and has been clean for over a decade and they get cancer, do they no deserve medical treatment. I don't know about America, but in the rest of the world health care is considered a human right that everyone deserves. It is not about profit. And the fire department part is funny because it happened in tennessee.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Well, that smoker made a decision so they should have to pay for it themself. And is the big picture, people die all the time. My grandma had health care that cost our family lots of money for 3 years, and she still died, it is an unavoidable thing in life, really, prolonging death in my mind is a waste of time and money.
777danzig 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Another thing, if people have the right to health care, then people should have a right to have a roof over their head, that prevents bad health. How about healthy food. We should give everyone free housing and healthy food. Also, this past winter I had to drive to work in a small car, with bad tires, and a crappy transmission. How about I get a reliable car so I can work, make money, pay taxes to provide health care. The big question is where do we stop? After health care, then what?
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig I am not talking about prolonging death, I am talking about giving treatment that can help people even if they can not afford it. If some one has a condition that is curable, than they should receive treatment. A no one should be home less or have to go hungry, that is why we have food banks and shelters for the least amoung us because it is our to duty to do what ever we can to help them. Also, if you don't like your car, than why don't you take public transportation or car pool.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Public transportation is a service that a paid for and isn't run by the government. My question is why can't the government just provide it for me so I don't have to pay? Anyway, I come from a small town so I have no public transportation. I drive 10 minutes to work at 4 A.M., 4 hours before anyone else and others I work with live 20 minutes from me. So I can't car pool. It would be stupid for someone to drive 20 minutes in a foot a snow, pick me up, and show up 4 hours early.
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig
The premise of your question is wrong because whether the service is provided by the Public or Private Sector your still paying for it. Whether its in Higher Taxes or Fees.
FRSFreeStatePlus 1 year ago
@acdc30450 Anyway, homeless shelters and food banks are non profit charities, they aren't funded by the federal government. Some are funded by local government but for the most parts they are charities, we have lots of charities people voluntarily work in. I went to school with a kid that was in a horrible accident and lots of people donated money to help him. Also, the food given isn't great, and those shelters have lots of diseases, meaning socialize medicines won't be great.
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig We need to fix those problems. I am from Canada and socialised medicine works great. Yes there are a few bugs but over all it is a good system. One of the main problems we have is that Aboriginals and people who live in rural areas have trouble getting to good care because they are so isolated from every one else and no doctor wants to live up there. And yes, Universal health care will not be perfect, but it will be better than the system you have now.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 And yeah, I am all for helping people and I do agree that we can do that, but it isn't the federal government's job to do it or make us do it. If you want better health care then live healthier. Only go to the hospital when you absolutely need too, less demand lower price. Buy health insurance to keep rates low for people with insurance that are actually sick, and 20 years down the road your rate will be low when you get sick. We can solve the health care issue ourself, it takes work.
777danzig 1 year ago
@777danzig That might get us a head, but it won't fix the whole system. That is the same reason communism failed. Human beings are flawed and even if most people are charitable there will be some greedy people who will completely abuse the system. It only takes a few people to make an entire system collapse, like a deck of cards, if you pull one card than the rest of them will collapse. And some things are just un accounted for such as car accidents or you breaking an arm while playing football.
acdc30450 1 year ago
And for some people living healthy is not that easy. If you live near a factory that pollutes, than that air will get into your lungs and affect your health. Or if you work 14 hours a day and are a single mom you may not have time to work out or prepare a healthy meal. And in many low income neighbour hoods, super markets have vanished. All you have is corner stores and fast food joints, so it can be hard to eat healthy. Gym member ship can be a bit pricey if you live on a fixed income
acdc30450 1 year ago

You got three college, but millions of people don't get to.
acdc30450 1 year ago
@acdc30450 : To me it sounds like you're the type who makes excuses for the lazy people on how they should be allowed to be lazy and do well. Life doesn't work that way. @AClRCLEOFLlGHT Making excuses for lazy people huh ? So if you are denied by a health insurance company because of a hereditary disease, you are lazy ? And what about the millions of working people who are now un employed and can not find work, are they lazy ? Please tell me.
acdc30450 1 year ago

The People Are The Bosses Of The Government. America Is Your Country, Don't Ever Forget That. When Corporations Take Advantage Of Your Citizens, Then That Is The Perfect Time For The Government To Stand Up & Step In For Its People.
MapleBalls 1 year ago
@MapleBalls Well, maybe we shouldn't let corporations take control of us. If you don't like a certain bank or company, then don't do business with them. I don't deal with certain insurance companies because I don't like them. Us, as Americans have the power to do that, when the government steps in and starts controlling businesses then we lose that power, along with jobs and money.

The government is not bad? What? Does Michael Moore even like America, or the Constitution or freedom? What does Michael Moore have to say about the big governments of Nazi Germany, USSR or China. Heck, there are dozens of examples. Why do all of you think other countries are so poor?
eric5335 1 year ago
@eric5335 Germany is poor? Japan is poor? China poor?!
Maybe Africa. As for Germany, that have had universal health care since 1871.
Please note, Germany is one of the most economically strong countries in Europe let alone the world. Not as strong as the US, but not too shabby considering Germany is the size of Ohio.
navyboydjray 1 year ago
@navyboydjray Germany is Europes last best hope! They have a coalition with conservative and libertarian parties, and are the right direction of helping all Europe out of the crisis. But people tell them to spend more and more when it can not be paid back. Germany has not the same system as Denmark which is entirely based on the universal health care!

@eric5335 Michael moore is of the ilk where he believes corporations and business are the true destroyers of the earth, when the reality is often corrupt governments.

I think we've discovered the ultimate solution.
2tolerant 1 year ago
Your life doesn't depend on a house, your life doesn't depend on a car. If you don't agree with a common sense solution to a service so essential, then why don't you advocate abolishing medicare, medicaid and social security? I've been paying for those from my income tax for years, fancy that, single payer. You would rather privatize that? Well then how is one more essential than another? What the hell are you guys thinking?
EvanWells1 1 year ago
i don't know where you live but over here a house and a car are necessary if you want to be a productive member of society.

Healthcare is a "BUSINESS".....It was created as a "BUSINESS"....It is "NOT" a "RIGHT" and it is something that is EARNED.....Our country was founded on Free Enterprise NOT socialized principles.....Healthcare needs to remain PRIVATE.....Maybe MediCare needs tweeked but no socialized medicine at the expense of the taxpayers......I have "NO" coverage and I'm OK with that until I get a decent job that covers some of it.
t5998mc 1 year ago
Sure, but it doesn't matter now, we don't have a public option on the table anyway. When Obama held the hearings and McCain talked about allowing people to buy insurance across state lines, Obama said "okay." He also endorsed many other recommendations by the repubs. They refused, and wanted to scrap the entire bill ! Why? I don't know, you tell me,.. pull out your ammo and lets go, buddy,...
EvanWells1 1 year ago
Furthermore I disagree. It is a RIGHT because a child, for instance has no ability to EARN anything. If they have a parent without insurance it does not mean it is right to deny coverage. It is a RIGHT because someone who ends up in the emergency room cannot be left to bleed to death. If it were a RIGHT, we would have more people paying into the SYSTEM, RATES would be LOWER, the ER would not account for poor peoples COVERAGE and it wouldn't be such an ISSUE to be POLITICIZED for the ignorant
EvanWells1 1 year ago
I wouldn't classify health care as a right. I might argue that it's a parent's obligation to provide healthcare for their own child but not for every child. If someone does help a child that is not their own then I give that person respect for their charitable act. You should try to persuade others to be as charitable as you are but if you force them to be charitable then it's not charity - it's coercion. No respect for coercion.
2tolerant 1 year ago
2tol: Eventually it's got to come down to the more equitable solution that protects us from corporate collusion, solves the problem, and generally makes more sense. Arguing this on a principled basis of private ownership ends up violating other principles down the line, and one is more consequential. We require people to have auto insurance because it jeopardizes another persons liability if you don't. It likewise jeopardizes the cost equation for all of us having this many people uncovered.
EvanWells1 1 year ago
@Evan
2tolerant 1 year ago
I know the comparison is not apt, people are not required by law to own a car, but they carry the risk if they do. The cheapest way for the gov to stop colluding is a public option. If we allow states to mandate minimum standards, the companies collude on rates for other procedures, or pick and choose the states they get the best deals in. Again, the public option is trashed, the lobbying has destroyed it even though the majority of Americans favored it. It's a moot point for both of us.
EvanWells1 1 year ago
This doesn't mean that people should be forced to buy insurance. I would disagree with such a provision. What it means is that a bare-coverage, bare-cost option should be provided that would level the playing field at the same time that it reduces prices because more people pay in. It's like having a mall with all the private insurance you want, but one of them is a state store. You don't want your tax dollars paying for it, even though we pay more in the end with inflated costs.
EvanWells1 1 year ago
And furthermore, even though we're willing to pay taxes to give our grandparents and parents the exact same thing, for some reason we want other people who lack coverage because they don't have a job to shut up. But we end up paying for it in the end. The public option isn't even on the table anymore, so we at least need pre-existing conditions exclusions stopped. Unfortunately what is going to pass seems a travesty. Now we're going to have people fined for not having coverage. Great.

@HumanistWikitopian Basically what you are left to justify is why in god's name you're treating America as equal to these countries despite a 70% obesity/overweight rate, which also happens to account for the majority of our hc costs? You're drawing a blatantly false equivalence here. Boy, I can't wait to see what happens when we force the healthy and responsible to underwrite the costs of the unhealthy majority in this country--and we'll call it "morally imperative" lest god kills a kitten.
thereinliestherib 1 year ago
@thereinliestherib
i) Do you believe that your existing health insurance provider doesn't already provide coverage to other overweight/obese people? How do you believe that they calculate their premiums?
You are already paying the costs of your fellow citizens being overweight (notwithstanding the indirect economic loss to obesity in the USA, which was estimated to be as high as $117 billion in 2000).
HumanistWikitopian 1 year ago 3
@HumanistWikitopian "i) Do you believe..."

@thereinliestherib Lol, stupid parrot, is that why health care is so cheap around the world apart from the US's blood for money health care.
2000drpain86 1 year ago
@2000drpain86 Actually, the majority of our health costs aren't rooted in corporate conspiracies, they come from fatasses like Moore, who drive up insurance pool risk and consequently, costs. God I love how the entire country blissfully ignored our poor health throughout the health care debate. And what do we get? A special interest bill that taxes, mandates, fines, and overcharges the healthy and responsible to pay for obese, self-contradicting idiots like Moore.
thereinliestherib 1 year ago
@thereinliestherib I think you will find a lot of countries have obesity problems, but they don't charge 7 times more for a hernia operation like they do in the US.
US spends almost a fifth of its GDP on poor quality heath care, more than twice what other countries do and 45million are not covered, 18,000 of them dying unnecessarily every year. You think this is a good system?
2000drpain86 1 year ago
@2000drpain86 The hernia thing is a good point, but it doesn't offer any generalization to justify your second point. The fact that we spend so much on health care only reaffirms just how poor national health has become, and how disproportionately risk has polluted our insurance pools. Such extraordinary risk won't simply disappear by forcing the public to assume even more liability, overall, for stupid behavior.
thereinliestherib 1 year ago
@thereinliestherib The obesity problem in the US is only slighty worse than the UK, the UK spends less than half as much on health care, this makes nonsense of your obesity theory.
"Forcing the public" You mean getting poor people to pay nothing and saving 18,000 lives a year and this is a bad thing?
The US is the only developed country with full private health care and also the only one with extorionate costs($5,300 vs Turkey's $446), because of the overheads, malpractise insurance etc.

2000drpain86 1 year ago
@2000drpain86 Obesity is only one indicator of overall poor health, and no, US rates simply do not compare with the UK. The majority of all health care expenditures in the US goes to treatment for ailments that bear direct causal relation to poor health: smoking, weight problems, lack of exercise, and drug/alcohol abuse. I'm not saying there aren't ways the system itself needs to be adjusted, just that the reason for the majority of our costs is an independent variable: American health.
thereinliestherib 1 year ago
@thereinliestherib Obesity in UK is 23% in US 30%, so yes you can compare them and this does not justify the more than doubling of the health budget.
"The majority of all health care expenditures in the US goes to treatment for ailments that bear direct causal relation to poor health." Yes the same as every other country obviously. I think you need to look at other countries health systems if you want to know how the US could improve, like France.
2000drpain86 1 year ago
@2000drpain86 "...does not justify..." As a matter of fact it does. First, you're assuming UK health costs haven't also risen in correspondence with declining health, which they have. Second, a difference of 7% is no small figure since it equates to a cool 23.1 million people in the US. Third, obesity is only the MOST extreme indicator of poor national health among many other indicators of decreasing national health. "Like France." <-That oversimplification says it all.
thereinliestherib 1 year ago
@thereinliestherib
ii) Besides, in terms of obesity, many countries aren't that far behind the US. Google the phrase: “Epidemiology of obesity”. Studies conducted in 2006 found that close to 52% of Australian women and up to 67% of Australian men aged 25 or over are overweight or obese.
HumanistWikitopian 1 year ago 3
@HumanistWikitopian Still much lower than the US, by millions of people and billions of HC dollars. Plus, even if we were on par with other countries (we're flatly not), then you're forced to defend the assumption that a 70% obesity/overweight rate (and skyrocketing) is a defensibly nominal value, a marker of a healthy modern society.
