I haven't seen the Daimos anime but I like God Gundam more from the game. Just going by what I've seen in the game I'd go with God Gundam as the winner.

I've always thought that if you get Isao Sasaki to sing your anime theme song, you have old-school cred. He even did some songs for newer stuff in the old-school style, like the Gekiganger 3 movie and Geppy-X.
