I loved doing this reverse-praise with my dog. Praising them when they're submissive (I believe) helped my dog be submissive in general. He was very sweet and loving.

Cute video. It's not the word "bad" your pet has the problem with, it's actually the tone of voice you use. If you notice, whenever you tell him he's a "good boy" you use a higher and more friendly sounding tone of voice and when you say "bad boy/bad dog, etc" you switch to a lower, more angry sounding tone of voice and he's obviously responding to that. If you try telling him he's a "bad dog" in the friendly-sounding, higher tone of voice I bet his reaction will be the same as "Good dog!"
