Interesting point, but it depends on your definition of hypnosis. You CAN learn to switch off your left hemisphere (actually you stop listening, but the result is the same). That's an incredible hard, long and complicated thing to do, that pretty much requires you do train every day on many occasions for many years. It makes you very open to "suggestions", "images" or even hallucinations. The thing is: After "switching off" your left hemisphere it's not there to give meaningful suggestions. ;)

That is an interesting theory. However this question can't be proven nor dis-proven as it is a subjective experience. Just some thoughts.
