Is the sound quality in this camera really bad? I've heard a few people complain about it. The kind of thing I would be using it for is to record music performances, would this suit it?
@qwaz13 when i bought this camera, i thought it would be great.... Pictures are great, but the video is bad... but you have to pick some good quality sd card class 6 or something..
i have this camera, but when i upload a video it does not appear as HD even though it is HD on my hard drive at home, did you do anything special to the video before uploaing it?? thanks

Got my TZ5 yesterday from Costco for $199 they had a $70 coupon. This is so sweet, the best of both worlds in the palm of your hand plus HD! Like most folks I have had tons of digicams but this is by the vary the best! great still and HD video all in one!
i checked the tz5 in costco as u mentioned, the only thing is its black i was looking all over the place for the blue one. Before when newegg, walmart, amazon had it for about 230 i never grabbed it but now they go for like 270-300. With costco at nonmember price it comes out to 238 w/tax which is still good.
Yes I agree since it blows away the Flip Mino HD - Kodak ZI6 - Creative Vado HD you can install a 16GB SDHC card and shoot 4 hours of HD footage! I have never been so happy ! I have a great digital still camera and HD video camera with 10x zoom all in one! and yes the zoom works during HD video recording! plus 3" LCD

What is this clip showing ? That it's EXTREMELY hard to hold the TZ 5 steady and shoot decent video clips ? Or that the I.S. don't work ?

in this age of phone cameras it seems like just any crap reassembling video will pass ...
Next time try to find at least SOME SUPPORT - like the window frame or whatever !
