@THX1205 yeah, aint it wonderfull, my caddie from 1961 is still running, think of all the pollution i have avoided by not buying a new one every third year...... btw its running on E-85 now.
That 1960 Plymouth would've done better to move farther forward on the on-ramp instead of forcing its way in front of the '57 Oldsmobile that had to stop for it. It's not a matter of "power clog" not providing power when it's needed; it's learning how to merge more skillfully.
US 101 (sprinkled with Four Level Interchange scenes [US 6 / US 66 / US 101 / US 99] ).
Turn signals weren't commonplace until later ('57 or '58 , iirc) ; and when they became mandatory (but not their usage) , older folks were used to *not* having them , so they weren't utilised .
No one wore seat belts, front seats were usually bench seats,when dad would park he would slide all the way right and get out on the sidewalk.I used to walk by parked cars and twang the cars that had curb feelers. i miss those side glass air vents too.

Wow the highways looks so immaculate and clean! Now they're dirty, uneven, and pothole ridden.

@steve7138
And when these people reached their destinations, I'm certain they parked diagonally in their spaces, just as they do now.
