  • I'm preparing for CCNA exam and this video has been a great help in calming my nerve.....thx a lot for that bro. My basics are clear & these days i'm workin on GNS3 to improve my configuration, verification and troubleshooting skills. i'm pretty confident abt my knowledge but when it comes to passing the exam....i get little bit nervous. Any suggestion before i take the CCNA exam..

  • I passed the ICND1 exam last December and now I am studying to take the ICND2 exam in March. I feel like I understand most of the concepts and I can configure/implement a network in simulation. What concerns me most is IP addressing. I can find how many subnetworks and hosts is required from subnet mask/CIDR but when I look at large networks or routing tables, I can get very confused. ACL and NAT configurations can also make me confused. What advice do you have for me? Thank you for this video!

  • IMO the CCNA exam is poor, I've sat 13 exams with Microsoft/Comptia/LPI and 90 minutes doesn't feel adequate for this exam. I had to give best guess answers from time constraints and barely had enough time to finish and the lack of a calculator adds salt to injury. I would never dream of working in the real world without properly thinking things through and checking my work, Something cisco seem to have a problem with as they don't even let you 'go back'. The first and last cisco exam for me.

  • Nice video.

But u missed 1 point or may b its not a point for u but it is for me. " the exam time"

I failed my test. I was well prepared. I was taking a little extra time to make sure that i dont make a mistake. But soon i realised that i only done half of of the test n i got 10 min left. Then i start rushing but at the end i failed.

  • @chshamich : I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't clear your test. I agree with you, time is a very important factor that I have missed mentioning in this video. Are you planning to give it another shot?

  • There are a few people posting comments that their faculty will write the exam for you. Please do not opt for such things. They may give you a certificate of CCNA/NP but they WILL steal your future forever..... Believe in yourself and just go ahead with it, on your own...!!!

  • thanks for upload a video and reply me please help me

  • Thank you, for being honest and explaning the test in a siimple but concise way. Most of my friends in my class, who have passed the test makes it seems sooooo HARD.Bragging rights i guess.

  • I thank all of you for the appreciation. Good luck to those who still have to appear.

  • u can call me - 08826966623 i have got prometric and vue testing center in place of candidate my faculty will write the exam , u call me we can write all exam mcse, ccna, ccnp, ccie any exam

  • helooo and thanx for the video..i just got my ccna certifications cleared and i genuinely agree with , the toughness level that u have suggested its very fundamental and it needs regular practice..

just one thing that i would like to suggest is please concentrate more on troubleshooting the network..many times what happens is u end up with misconfiguration and u choose to reconfigure whole thing but i would suggest just try and troubleshoot the things it will help u a lot..

  • @biren32 : hanks for the post. I agree with you when you say about troubleshooting. I believe the best way to go for it is try and configure devices in GNS3. When you face scenarios in your test, they help you isolate the fault very easily.

  • @santoshkotla ahhh i see actually have worked a lot on PT but have never tried gns3 but i'll check it out, just wanted to ask u have u completed ur ccnp cos m aiming for switch exam by next month..if yes then any suggestions..

    ty..

  • You the man

  • thanks for this video santoshka. it really boost my confidence with your video. i'm only on the exploration 1 course and will be taking up the whole 4 courses to pass the certification exam. again, thanks a lot.

  • I thing your the greatest person in my life for suggestions for how to prepare for exam.. And Now i know how much CCNA is easy .. Thanks For you suggestions

Plz Upload more video i am waiting for your next suggestions

  • LOL if you look closely, at 1:27 mins you can clearly see a Cisco person with a gun in the background...

  • y didn't you complete your video??

  • @anilv4 : Well I dont know, I was trying to upload the whole thing but only a part of it was successful and then I moved to India. I never had the chance of re-uploading the video.

  • @santoshkotla Thank you

  • Cheers mate, for the good words and advice, especially about the fact it ain't it easy but it ain't hard either.

  • Congratulations on your CCNA, and thanks for sharing your experience. I believe any certification will be truly "difficult" to anyone who just wants to slap certs on a resume. If you truly care about the subject and care to understand it, then the test will come more naturally. It sounds to me like you have a passion for networking. Again, congrats!

  • @maxsmell : Thank you maxsmell. :)

  • @maxsmell : I could not agree with you more. But there are other ways people earn their certificates. If you did not use that way, then definitely, it is a great challenge. Even if you go honestly, the exam is not "rocket science", but it is not a "cake-walk" either, like Santhosh is explaining. Yes! It is not so itimidating as they say it is ... may be marketing.

  • Hey santosh! thanks for the video.. I'll be taking the test in a week. The video ends abruptly..so could you please tell me what else I need to concentrate on in order to crack the exam.. and what kind of simulation questions can I expect

  • Hey thanks for posting this video, are there any resources you recommend for preparing for this exam such as a web training courses or books? I tend to prefer web training but wondering about the lack of "hands-on" or is that something to be concerned about?

  • Thanks for the video. Thanks for the encouragement, I've read too many scare stories about the CCNA exam.

  • @Mojo1982 : Thanks for leaving a comment mojo. I dont know for some reason the whole video isn't on youtube, but I did explain more than what is here. I just hope you give your exam and come out certified!!! All the best!

  • @santoshkotla

Bro... i am studing CCNA and hoping to attempt it in a next month.. can you help me with dums?

  • @aamir2smart : Hi aamir. I would not suggest you to go for the dumps until you have completed the whole syllabus for studying. Dumps may help you pass the test, but when it comes to production it's not at all on how much you have studied or certified, but how much you know and can apply.

Better don't think of the dumps for now! Good Luck.
