Facile battere Ultima con simili poteri. provate a batterla a Lv 40 senza armi finali e senza autohaste.

FF8 is a mellow drama and though I agree it's one of the best in the PS I stll believe other games like Chrono Cross and Xenogears (from the same company) is way better than this. I love the card game though, no problem with that.

I overkilled the junction system and prepped up for this when everyone else started saying this was the "hardest battle ever". I took 2 allies with me for my first encounter just to be safe. My face was all "WTF?" when the battle ended seconds later, and I desperately waited for Ultima Weapon to soar high into the air and transform or something since it kinda left me gaping at the TV screen... xD;

This boss is a very easy one... I stole 100 ultima for each of my characters when fighting him.
The secret is to get faster than him, boosting defense is no use, he can kill a char with his huge flare anyway. As for Omega, I think it's not a luck factor, he does all his attacks in a certain order, and you have to get invincible, or kill him before he strikes you.
I don't believe FF8 was the best but thats simply because I believe there is no way to describe the awesomness of this game. It is, in my opinion, beyond the best.
Final Fantasy VIII was amazing beyond words. It gave a story that wasn't too tainted by "amazing" characters who were super heroic, it gave characters that were more human. It's one of the things I like about it.
Based on how you feel about FFVIII, I can only assume you loved FFVII in which case I say they were both good, so stop complaining about how all other final fantasies aren't as good as 7. If not, then just quit complaining anyway.

Cloud is a whiny bitch emo, so is Squall in the beginning (not later on though), but I second that the characters in FF8 seemed more human. Xenogears is supposed to be one of the best RPGs. I'm like 20 hours into the game now, but here the hero also can't quit his whining. I get the feeling that an unwritten "If hero is emo the game is awesome" rule exists.

Ultima Weapon is the default draw boss to get Eden, you can also get Eden off Tiamat in Ultimecia's castle. Omega Weapon however, is an end game optional boss that compares to Yiazmat in ff 12, or Nemesis in FF 10. Omega Weapon takes a certain element of luck to kill, which is why i found it the most fun. Crap loads of holy wars and pheonix pinions later it is doable however. FF8 is not very confuseing, you draw magic off enemies, no MP value, just spell amount. Omega wep > Ultima wep, k?
i tried sth different, i used aura stone (aura is junctioned to stats so i dun wanna use them) on rinoa, wif auto haste, mag +60%, wif meltdown, meteor n ultima as the only offensive spells in her arsenal, rinoa kick ass wif angel wing limit break. my the other 2 characters did not need to do anything except summoning doomstrain.
Also, there's no guarantee Cloud survived with the sword. He probably just forgot his emo razor at home and had to substitute, leading to his demise. This is why you don't use large swords in place of razors, kids.
Enemy's got the same level the Squall has, so it's easier on 10, although you've got to fight a lot of monsters down there, so you're maybe at 20-30 when you reach Ultima.

This boss is a very easy one... I stole 100 ultima for each of my characters when fighting him.
The secret is to get faster than him, boosting defense is no use, he can kill a char with his huge flare anyway. As for Omega, I think it's not a luck factor, he does all his attacks in a certain order, and you have to get invincible, or kill him before he strikes you.

Final Fantasy VIII was amazing beyond words. It gave a story that wasn't too tainted by "amazing" characters who were super heroic, it gave characters that were more human. It's one of the things I like about it.
Based on how you feel about FFVIII, I can only assume you loved FFVII in which case I say they were both good, so stop complaining about how all other final fantasies aren't as good as 7. If not, then just quit complaining anyway.

Cloud is a whiny bitch emo, so is Squall in the beginning (not later on though), but I second that the characters in FF8 seemed more human. Xenogears is supposed to be one of the best RPGs. I'm like 20 hours into the game now, but here the hero also can't quit his whining. I get the feeling that an unwritten "If hero is emo the game is awesome" rule exists.

Also damage or healing is pretty random as well. Fire2 can deal anything between 30 and 120 damage. Pretty amazing stuff :D

Ultima Weapon is the default draw boss to get Eden, you can also get Eden off Tiamat in Ultimecia's castle. Omega Weapon however, is an end game optional boss that compares to Yiazmat in ff 12, or Nemesis in FF 10. Omega Weapon takes a certain element of luck to kill, which is why i found it the most fun. Crap loads of holy wars and pheonix pinions later it is doable however. FF8 is not very confuseing, you draw magic off enemies, no MP value, just spell amount. Omega wep > Ultima wep, k?

i tried sth different, i used aura stone (aura is junctioned to stats so i dun wanna use them) on rinoa, wif auto haste, mag +60%, wif meltdown, meteor n ultima as the only offensive spells in her arsenal, rinoa kick ass wif angel wing limit break. my the other 2 characters did not need to do anything except summoning doomstrain.

Also, there's no guarantee Cloud survived with the sword. He probably just forgot his emo razor at home and had to substitute, leading to his demise. This is why you don't use large swords in place of razors, kids.

I don't remember Ultima being all that bad, I remember drawing a total of 300 Ultima Spells from him to equip on my 3 characters.
I think I even fought him just like a normal boss.
It was Omega that was insane, had to use Aura, Holy Wars, and Phoenix summon items to kill it.

Enemy's got the same level the Squall has, so it's easier on 10, although you've got to fight a lot of monsters down there, so you're maybe at 20-30 when you reach Ultima.
