@KORINALOVER because it was recorded with a pure tube tone 800, the 2000 has clipping diodes which make them sound like balls compared to most other tube amps

Sounds AWESOME! Yeah it's a little smoother and less aggressive than the "Nighttrain" tone.... but it still has great mids and crisp smooth highs. I'm going to go so far as to say I like it a little better than Slash's tone cause it's less harsh. If I were you I wouldn't change a thing except turn up the volume a little..... or a LOT lol! : )

@bautivigna Yeah, I'm currently in Canada, I'll write them when I'm back, although the settings I use now (which are much better) are different to the settings in this video, but I'll give you the better settings ha :)

@slickshot61 Slash leased the original amp from S.I.R, slash asked to buy it, but they woldn`t sell it. So slash stole the amp,later it was stolen back by S.I.R and no-one knows where the original amp is. So he didn`t use the same amp for appetite for destruction as on Use your illusion. BUT the guitar played on the albums where the same(a 1959 gibson replica)

@KingTretten actually slash told them it was stolen but his someone brought it back and they didt gave it to slash again to play it.. and so they gave it somebody else and nobody knows where it is now... ( so thats what it says in slash biography )

@Diehardslashfan after S.I.R took it back they didn´t let him play it again, cause in his biography it says he played a similar one some years ago.)but after his "someone" guitar tech brought it back to a rehearsal at sir, no-one has seen it, but the maint point in my message 3 months ago was that he did not use the same amp for the different recordings. (#.36 for appetite, and i think #34 was used on UIY.) but he used the sam guitar

it's not the tone controls, the key is the volume, put mids on full, treble on 2 out of 10, bass on 12 o'clock , presence on 10 o'clock , reverb at 12 o clock, deep switch on, mid switch off, volume 12 o clock and gain on 11 o'clock

;) this is the quickiest way to get that tone on the tsl100 dont expect it to be perfect but it's not bad ;) also what pickups do you use? is that a les paul cause it doesnt sound like one lol

when robin finck was in GNR, he used a marshall jcm 2000 and his tone was awesome
