  • except they hit a wall around 1000 hp while the ls1 with even more upgrades get to about 2500 hp. Right now the 4g63 engine is the best 4 banger i think.

  • that was a 4th gear pull, 60-160mph on the speedo. we were getting tire spin in 3rd

  • at the time of the dyno i had, 550.00 in a cam and valvetrain, 500.00 in HP tuners for tuning, 250 in a converter, 300 in a nitrous kit. totaling 1650.00, also the car came with slp long tubes and mandrel bent cat back. this setup was to see how much the stock bottem end could take

  • I wouldn't risk it. Just get some new connecting rods and pistons damnit! DON'T RISK IT! I'm getting an MS3 cam here, no heads work for a while though.

    what cam ,heads , size c.i ,etc...

  • the cam was similar to an MS3, .595/.609 lift with 242/244 duration. the heads i did my self, ive done a couple in the past. bottem end was stock, can ran 6.9s-7.2 @ 101mph here in the 1/8, i spent a lot of time tuning this setup it it picked up 55 rwhp on the dyno with a couple tweaks.

  • i have a ls1 fully built forged in my 91 camaro rs. it has the sts tt and makes 867wwhp and thats with it detuned for the street so you'll get the 1000hp you want dont worry. nice maro man!

  • nice, i have 95% of the new setup finished, just need to bolt on the 88mm turbo and WG. what size turbo are you running? 867 on an STS is the most i have seen so far.
