Protoman, Dr. Light's 1st robot, original name is "Blues", while his 3rd robot is known as "Roll". so the 3 sibling robots are known as "Blues", "Rock" & "Roll". in Japan, "Rock" became "Rockman", while in the US, "Rock" became "Mega Man". Capcom US figured it would be better to use the term "Mega" to sell the game in the states.

1. Look up the Super Adventures Megaman show and look up Super Adventures Rockman. They are the same.

2. Megaman is originally Japanese and they called him Rockman.
