i had one of these it was great and served me well you cant load it down with shit or else obviously it'll be slow as balls but mine is still running great though it sits in a box replaced by an alienware m14x

theres absolutely nothing wrong with this laptop and people need to STOP blaming dell seriously computer problems are usually the users fault or vista in some cases and computers werent designed for perfection and i swear people keep forgetting that NO computer is going to be perfect

i've got the dell inspiron 1525 in pink. Well, it says it's pink but its more of a weird maroon colour. I've been through 2 chargers in 2 years, my built in dvd bit jams and when i play a dvd it plays for about 30 mins then shuts itself down, my 'enter' key has fallen off, my computer is slow, my memory stick hole thing doesn't ever identify the memory stick so that part is broken too and my laptop overheats after being on for 10 minutes...Other than that, its good.

Dell 1521 is a piece of crap. The power cord has broken 3 times right at the connection. As a result it has fried the motherboard twice. They replaced it under warranty, but not the cords. The last time it fried, I tried to contact Dell, but they can't find my records!!!??? Good luck trying to contact any type of Customer Support--They make it impossible. DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER!!!! Buy an HP or Mac. Dell is going under soon because of shit like this (IMO) WARNING: Stay away from this laptop!!!

I have this computer. since December 2007. It still works but it is getting old and rundown. I using my computer everyday for 12 hours. It is sometimes slow but not too bad. The S key sometimes wont work unless you hit it hard enough. The computer gets hot on the bottom but I got a fan from bestbuy. I will get a macbook soon. I already have an imac Works great!

@avidcoltsfan I can top that. I had one, and it worked fine until February last year, when one day out of the blue I turned it on to print my homework, and IT WOULDN'T START. It went to the Dell screen, loaded, acted like it was going to start Windows, and then Started over and loaded up to the Dell screen again. It did this EVERY FUCKING TIME! I couldn't fix it at all, took it to Geek Squad and they couldn't fix it, or retrieve my files, and Dell support didn't do SHIT. The Inspirons suck.

I got a Dell Inspiron 1525 with pretty good specs and it runs well. I got an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, Windows Vista Home Premium, and 3 GB of RAM. It's good for surfing the Internet and everything, but it's not the best for gaming. If you want a gaming laptop, I suggest that you get a Dell Studio laptop if you want a good gaming experience that won't break your budget, but if you have the money, you could go for the XPS laptop. Hope I helped! :)

I just got one for Christmas and love it. A nice 15.4 glossy widescreen and only took a minute or two to get used to vista (which seems to work fine so far). Not bad if your into casual gaming too, more powerful than it may look.
