Finding out recently that Rikki Summers passed I started looking at youtube and came across these videos. I will be 60 next year and have watched so many pass before me wondering why I am still here and feeling a bit deserted. It was really nice to see so many videos. A glimpes back reminded me of myself a few decades ago; some of the things I have lost and the maturity I have gained. I value these past moments even more. Thanks for posting. May their stars shine brightly on Heavens Walk.
A true talent who not only gave of her performance, but that unconditional love. A star while here and a star who shines over us....I miss you my friend, have my dress with a vodka on the rocks when
Watching this video gave me insight on how we lost another shining star in the art of female impersonation. Netasha's speech actually touched me. It's ironic b/c several years ago I was wondering why she couldn't walk the year Tandi was crowned Miss USA. I did inquire and got that typical AIDS/HIV related illness. I just like to be knowledgeable on certain issues but like she stated the reason someone is ill isn't important but the fact is they need comfort and love to help endure,
I am so thankful to have the chance to see this. I was there, I performed, for my best friend. She was a very private person and to open up and make her pain public was so difficult for Netasha. As she said, it was VERY hard for her to be there and not able to perform. Her life was a performance. What people didnt know is she had a business degree from IU, but the only job she had after college was performace. She needed nothing else if she had a stage and an audience.
@viccilaine Love your comment..you can tell you were a great friend.Sorry for you loss, when did she pass away? I have the video when she won Miss Gay usofa 1989.She was very beautiful!!! :)
Thanks for sharing this. It is more than inspirational, it is stunning. To have this kind of history recorded for the future to see where we have come from. Thank you.

This made me cry, but I know our dear angel Netasha, is looking down on us. What, a true Legend.
