Why won't Nick release all of the classic Nick shows from the 80's and 90's, I think it will make them a fortune. I know I will buy and I will watch nothing else but. There's nothing on tv now and days to watch. We had the best childhood shows in the 80's and 90's. They taught us something and entertained us without dumbing us down and making us materialistic and vain like today's kids shows. No wonder our kids are so slow, materialistic, and, kind of dull.
I came here almost at random (looking for a clip of a mysterious actor called "the Stick"), and I immediately recognized that zany title screen. I doubt I've had even a single thought about this show since 1989 or so, when I was 5 years old! Amazing.
I used to love this show, so did all of my friends (we were about 5-8 years old). I keep hoping someone will post The Uncle Hogram Program skits from Turkey TV!
Considering youtube won't allow tv shows, sports and movies, drop by stream episodes [dot] net to enjoy these episodes instead #VIDEOPOSTERID#. That's what I depend on to watch movies and all the latest tv shows.
Anyone remember another character on this show, A disgusting lout named Herb Verbert? And speaking of other original shows on Nick from the late 80's, Bonus points for anyone who remember their weekday afternoon tween talk/variety show called "Don't Just Sit There!", which debuted in '88 and ran for maybe a couple of seasons at Best. There was a live house band made up of kids our age or a little older. And the hosts were Wendy, Allie(*Siiigghh), and B.J. my sisters and I watched religiously.
I do remember this show....I had a crush on Wendy....I remember Johnny Kemp performing "Just Got Paid" ....don't know why that sticks out in my head, but it does...
One more thing... I watched this, You Can't Do That on Television, and Pee Wee's Playhouse religiously back then. This explains why I'm a CRAZY Singing Chick!
Talk about bringing back memories! I agree with another poster here. This show, and You Cant Do That on TV were two staples of early Nickelodeon. Thos and Double Dare were about all my sister and I got to watch.
you know how you feel like there are only a few of us left who remember shows like this... well you are one of them. thanks... brought back my childhood.
Ah yes the good ol Hurry Up....I wonder why they didn't use it more often. There are some things I wish would Hurry Up! A lost diamond in the treasure box known as...."The GOOD Nickelodeon shows!"
They should change Nick at Night to show this along with "You Can't Do This on Television" and "Double Dare" ...stuff for us big kids who are growing up and growing nostalgic...
I loved this show so much. I distinctly remember quoting it while riding bikes around our neighborhood when I was in 2nd grade (1888). However, I do have to say, tacos have come a long way in the US since then. That was a pretty darn gringo taco there... (then again, I believe the supreme taco of them all to be of the Al Pastor variety.)
Would be nice...besides OoC, there's so many other classic shows from Nick's first few years (YCDoTV, Today's Special, Against the Odds, Reggie Jackson's World of Sports, Special Delivery, Danger Mouse, etc.) that haven't been seen in years!
..And don't forget Turkey TV (YCDTOTV spin- off), "Tomorrow Ppl", "Mr. Wizard's World", "Spatakus & The Sun Beneath The Sea", "Mysterious Cities Of Gold", "Dangermouse & Bananaman", "Belle & Sebastion", "Nick Rocks" video show, "Livewire" kids talkshow w/ Fred Newmwn (white haired young guy who looked like Nick's vsn of Donahue) & "What'll They Think Of Next" with host Leonard Nimoy!
Thanks, I haven't seen Out of Control since I was a kid. This brings back memories. I really enjoyed seeing Dave, Hern, and Waldo & especially Angela and Diz. I gotta say, Diz sometimes drove me nuts because of that screech of hers, but she's nuts, but I like her anyway. When I saw Angela's reaction when she that dinosaur, I laughed my head off! Angela's cute, but she's dumb! Seriously.
they need to bring back this show, you can't do that on televison, the original double dare and salute your shorts. show these hannah montana kids what true children's programming was.
I loved this show too. I thought Dave was better on this show than on Full House. Also, for years I could never get Diz's sound out of my head, very memorable. You know, She used the word "Excellent" way before Bill and Ted ever did.
I loved this show so much as a teen. :) I loved the different ways they put together the title of the show. And I loved Diz the best. Her funky clothes, her crazy attitude, her long fingernails, and that sound she makes. Thank you for bringing back this episode. :)
I used to love this show when I was a kid. I was really excited to actually find it again! I hope there is more of these out there. Youtube please bring me more!!
lmao! I was in hysterics @ 5:25, "Hey Dave, I heard you have a Time-Machine there....I sure do, watch!.../ "Hey Dave, I heard you have a Time-Machine there....I sure do, watch!.../ "Hey Dave, I heard you have a Time-Machine there....I sure do, watch!..."
I think I was about 8 or 9 years old when I first saw this show, and I watched it all the time. The animated segues were great (IT'S ALIVE!). And c'mon, Dave's "Cut It Out"? That's classic stuff. :)
Watching it now, it's hard to believe it was a Nickelodeon show. The 80s, man... completely different time (and a completely different Nickelodeon).
Thank you for uploading this. Now, if only we could convince someone to give us a DVD release...
Always great to hear from fans. This show was so ahead of its time for Nick. We (along with You Can't Do That..) established the "edge" for Nickelodeon. It set us apart from those do good Disney people!
Oh my god.... I watched this on Nick when the channel was in its infancy, I think I mighta been like, 5 or 6 years old at the time, and still playing Pitfall and Centepede on Atari.
Wow! That was really incredible! I probably haven't seen that show since at least 1986 or 1987. That was so freakish because I would remember things as they popped up. Makes you wonder how many things are sitting in your brain, never to be seen again. I would totally buy this series if it were released on dvd.
OMG, I used to think about "hurry ups" all the time growing up when I was in class. There are still times to this day where I think, "man, I could use a hurry up"--I swear this exact thought still runs thru my head-and I'm 27!
i was just telling someone at work(who is under 30!) about this show, Couldn't remember the name though. Can you post more of these shows please if you have them? This show was awesome! kinda like monty Python for kids.
Haha, I loved YCDTOTV. That was one of my favorite shows growing up. You're right, tv was so much more fun back in the day. I feel sorry for the kids who have to grow up with whats on now...terrible shame.
I used to name things after the characters in this show. in the car racing intelevision game, I called the drunk drivers "Diz". I looked this up just to see if Diz was how I remember her and she is.
It's amazing how when I was a kid, I didn't even realize this was a show geared toward kids, since of course, I was one. Now that I'm older...wow, what a difference! The exaggerated acting is laughable.
This episode happens to be among the only ones I remember, due to the parts where they 'hurry up' school and where Dave eats the flaming taco.
Man, if ever a show could he labeled as 'perfect'...this was so well-crafted and had so much to offer that when I compare it to the fare of today, I want to burst into tears. It's the kind of show I'd do if I was in the biz, hehhehheh.
Def a classic show from Nick's mid-80s golden era, one of my personal faves...and Marty, nice to see you turn up on here, it's not often that such big names decide to show their faces. :-)
All right! This was one of my childhood favorites, right there with You Can't Do That on Television. Dave Coulier was talented, and I heard he did all the cartoon voices. The animated guy in the bow tie: I love his "That's stoopid!" Thanks a bunch!

Well what do you know a teenaged Brontosaurus and a Pachycephalosaurus. That helmet lizard I mentioned now, is a herbivore.

I have not seen this show since it was on in the 80's, and it is absolutely FREEKY how much I remembered about it.
Boy, those dinosaur puppets sure seemed impressive back in the day, now it's laughable ;).
