Hey, I'm a certified dog behavioral specialist. I've dealt with conditions like this before. What I normally do just to avoid getting them upset is I would leave the blanket over them while they sleep. Quietly reach in my drawer for my Glock 36, and fire several rounds into the bed in quick succession. If you feel unsure about whether or not the dog is calm yet, feel free to reload and repeat the process. It works great. It's highly effective and it saves time, effort, money and frustration.

I think you are a great dog owner. I have two full-blooded recued BTs, I adore both of them immensely. One came to me very shy and skittish, and the other one had a little bit of an anger issue at only weeks old. They are now both wonderful playful BTs 98%. It will take time, but I pray one day he can get past his issues. I will love him forever no matter what. They are just like kids....you take what god gives you and work with that.
If a dog grew up with rarely experiencing the leash, they are very territorial, easily pissed off but never bites. However if they grew up with rarely expeiencing freedom....man, you gotta see how my neighbors medium size dog almost slaughtered my "other" neighbors german shepherd. (im serious!)

He will not go outside for anything first thing in the morning. I have to pick him up and carry him outside and sit him on the back steps. He just stands there and looks around (grouchy like) and finally goes to the yard to do his business. He's definitely NOT "Mr. personality" in the morning.

dogs should not growl at they're owners. he thinks he's the boss...very naughty. i bet he's a pain in the bottom if you want him to do anything. if my dog growled at me, she'd be outside to cool off, i wouldn't be baby talking to her and petting her. good luck with the training.

I think it is CUTE.. Not all dogs are the same, I grew up with Bostons, and have two of my own. Three of the four LOVE LOVE sleeping under the covers like that.. They just have such a personality.. =)

absolutely nothing wrong with it, mine does the exact same thing, never bites, always ending up licking me, he does this when he wants to play. Also tries attacking my feet as I walk

With all due respect. You need to try to figure out why your dog does that. Seriously - I know you don't abuse your dog, but really please try to see what is causing it to do that. Maybe try to make sure it gets a supply of fresh air instead of allowing it to sleep under the covers. Best wishes. Also - you might want to consider putting the dog on an ssri (antidepressant) again not a joke. I wrote this cause it's strange for a Boston to behave that way.
I have a boston terrier She Acts the same way sometimes. I am always gentle With her. But she still acts this way.She never trys to hurt me .She just growls and makes a lot of noise.
Our oldest Boston (he's almost 8) growls a bit when he is awakened from his dreamy slumber, too! Only an experienced Boston owner can understand this quirk...as well as Boston reverse-sneezes and all the other weird noises they make. At least with our dog, he's never aggressive, he literally is saying "put the damn cover back over my head and leave me alone". Boston's are the best!!
I have a boston terrier and have lived with people that have boston terriers and I have never heard any one of them growl at their owner. Bostons do make weird noises, yes, but growling is the same regardless of the breed of dog. They are known for being very well-mannered - super excitable, yes - but well-mannered none the less. If my dog ever made that noise at me while in MY bed, he simply wouldn't be allowed in it.
he does it because she is basically praising him when he does that routine.. ..litle sunchine snookypoo VOMIT...tell your dog to pull his head in and shape up... he owns you...

maybe your obnoxious voice grates on him like it does me. definately not the first thing I'd want to hear in the morning. His anger might be justifed- it might be a personality conflict. lol.
Was he abused in the past? He does have a good bit of anger for a Boston. Just goes to show you any dog can have behavioral issues - just depends on breeding and temperament
When I looked at the video it was very strange to me and then it occurred to me that my Boston has NEVER growled. Never. Guess I'm lucky.
I didn't do anything to piss him off. He has behavioural problems that I've been working on with him for over a year. He is gradually getting better. I'm tired of people assuming that I did something to him when this is the way he is. I am very experienced with dogs and training dogs and this is the first case of what I would just call "extreme anger" in any dog (including Bostons) that I have ever dealt with.

@HammandClov - Mine does the same thing, only when you grab him he'll attack your hand with these gay little nibbles. Makes me laugh how tough he thinks he is.

My Boston Terrier has it's moody days too.
The reason we think he hates picked up though is because a tree fell on his back when he was younger, so he's sensitive.
