Saw them in '79 at the Marquee. If you saw them live you knew they were a true punk rock group.

Had the band been somewhat 'purer', more credible, they would have ranked amidst the very best of punk.

Sharp, power,drums... good material... (especially EMERGENCY!) good sounding guitars. But what's with the nasal kitten,Farinelli vocals? Buzzcocks get away with it 'cause they were 'for real'... 999 and Generation X don't. They seem to cater for teenyboppers.
