Magnaflow shorties with no resonator sounds way better. The Maggnaflow mufflers get rid of the raspy/ricer sound. Flowmaster anything on these cars just sounds horrible!
ok i just put on 2 glass packs cherry bombs on my g6 gxp but i still have the stock resonator, and its not near as loud as yours is. should i remove the resonator and straight pipe it or replace the resonator with another glass pack cherry bomb?
@1GreatLake Theyre really only 12" 2.25" inlet and 2.25" outlet Cherry Bomb glasspack mufflers. Dont waste your time trying to find these under exact YMM (Year Make Model). Just find the dimensions. Its easier than ppl are making it out to be. Haha.

@vxKingNothingxv everything from the manifolds back to the axel is stock. Only difference is that the resonator is gone and was replaced with a straight pipe. After the axel, it is split to two 12" 2.25 in and 2.25 out cherry bombs.

@181xert With these cars, i would suggest the cherry bomb glasspack. Thats what i ended up with. I had the flowmasters initially but they sounded like crap. If you go with the glasspacks, i would suggest to either put the stock resonator back on or to replace the stock resonator with a glasspack as well. When you get rid of the resonator, you get alot of RPM rasp. I should have kept mine on or at least replaced it with a glasspack.
i've got a g6 gtp...just ordered a flowmasters super 44 yesterday. I'm thinking I want to change to this now after hearing it lol. is this exhaust too loud? (when you're not getting into it) i want something that will scream if i get on it but be able to drive past cops without getting a drive at the same time haha
@dellwiz08 Haha yeah avoid the 44's. It is loud with the glasspacks but not to the point where you cant hear inside the car. But yeah when you get on it, it will wake you up. Haha. @tdouble19872007 You just need to have a straight-through muffler for 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders. I would suggest to put your resonator back on to get rid of that high RPM rasp. Makes it sound alot cleaner. If you get a big bodied muffler that goes straight through (like a glasspack) it should sound fine. Those N1's arent bad. Go for an N1 cat-back. It should already come with a resonator on it. You should be good with that.
@declaratedvet Not a heck of alot. You can tell tho that the engine isnt straining as much when you get on it. Goin from one split muffler to a split exhaust with 2 separate mufflers, you MIGHT notice some fuel economy differences and maybe like 5-8 more horses. 10 max. But you kno, any less back pressure on the engine (Without going open header) is gonna help your car out in the long run.

@dwighttemple theyre not specific for the car. Its just a 12" long, 2.25 inlet and 2.25 outlet glasspack. 2 of them split after the rear axel.

@tdouble19872007 You just need to have a straight-through muffler for 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders. I would suggest to put your resonator back on to get rid of that high RPM rasp. Makes it sound alot cleaner. If you get a big bodied muffler that goes straight through (like a glasspack) it should sound fine. Those N1's arent bad. Go for an N1 cat-back. It should already come with a resonator on it. You should be good with that.
