@EliteSlayer542 Hellooo welcome in the year 2010.Have you ever driven an 3.0L Audi quattro or any new diesel model it doesn't even feel like a diesel you feel like it's a very strong gas turbo engine. Now the diesel are not noisy or smelly or slow.
Do a little research before you write something, is like you came from the past. Are you not at the same pace with the rest of the world.
@UltraFighter18 IDK if your European or something but hear in Canada and the US, the only diesels we see are trucks and shitty old cars. And they all sound terrible and smell terrible. idk how things are with newer diesel cars because they do not sell them here.
@EliteSlayer542 That doesn't you don't have to know anything about how diesel are like today. In europe diesel are more expensive than the gas equivalent but they are better made and have better fuel economy at equivalent performance. If you still have diesel trucks like that means you're behind with those too the diesel trucks in europe are not smelly or smoky at least those that are minimum 15 years old.
@EliteSlayer542 In europe the demand for diesels is very very big.Americans would like diesel as well but the government is doing anything it can to stop the selling of those cars in the US. Go to a bmw ore a vw dealers and test a diesel I guarantee you will love it.
@whatever0481 simple because of the lobby that the US big car makers are doing to ensure that this doesn't happen. In US there isn't any diesel car making company's and even if there were, european diesel technology is way superior so if they would allow diesel cars in US their car industry would have big problems in this sector.
It all goes back to the time when one of our boys, Oldsmobile, brought out its infamous 5.7 diesel V8. That was what hit the nail on the head concerning the poor diesel car market overall.
@EliteSlayer542 That is a mentality of the past. You have to try the TDIs by Audi today. Quiet and fast. If you did not look at the tachometer and have the music at a low volume, you would never know you are driving a diesel.
Ich würde gerne in ingolstadt leben aber ich komme aus niedersachsen . Schade. Heyy your american cars are good too. The chevy vans and the fords and hummer. Good too
at the auto show the chrysler guy told me that they make EVERY model with a diesel. In EUROPE. audi has a good idea with the tdi BRING MORE, but how bout a 3 liter cummins in a charger? BLAME THE EPA. its their quotas that wont let more diesels in. and hybrids are the dirtiest OF ALL CARS. think toyotas got a problem with gas pedals? wait till the hybrid scam gets out!
@seeragill its how the batteries are made. there's a lot of metals refined in china in those things. they don't have any envirnomental controls on the mining and refining. villages are bieng wiped out from poisoned crop lands. the scam is they're more environmentally friendly than normal cars. they're not.
It's good, let's convert all Americans toward using clean-diesel and stay away with hybrids... I hope US & Japan manufacturers will start introduce diesel vehicles. in Europe they already have plenty of diesel offering more than 60MPGs, and they've achieved this almost a decade ago.
i hate interior accessories and equipments from audi its not relabel include digital speedometer gage some other stuffs too .........................&.(engines ...))
Over here in Europa we changed our minds to the Diesel pretty quickly when Audi came up with its TDI 20 years ago. In Austria the Diesel share is about 70-80%. In France it's easily 50%. I got the current Audi A4 Sedan 3.0 TDI S-Line quattro, with 6 speed manual. I LOVE IT!!! Smoooth, fast, crazy torque and, typical Audi, a brilliant interior with an awesome finish and brilliant built quality. Including funny rides on the Autobahn achieving a 155mph I do score 28-33mpg. Forget Hybrids.
If you want a quite working motor, than the Mercedes is the perfect car. (of course the TDI is quite, but not as much as the CDI) Ok, the new TDI is also a common rail diesel, but not so quite as the Mercedes. Audi is more sport, Mercedes is more comfort and elgance.
Has anyone test drive Audi Q7 and notice the turbo lag which is quite obviously slow with 1 sec lag, the car only start to pick up about a sec after you press the acceleration pedal which make me uncomfortable with the slow response. How about BMW X5 compare to Audi Q7 ?
Can you upload the new Audi Q7 2010 model ? I am interested in the new model. Btw, i test drive the 3.0 TDI and found that the acceleration response is slow. It takes about 1 secs delay before it accelerate...
That doesn't sound half bad in terms of fuel economy. but then again it probably could be a bt better; especially when u consider that diesel fuel prices are not exactly "cheap" here in the u.s.; but that aside it looks pretty cool...
Audi got diesel engines in every model except, the s and rs models.
The q7comes with a 4,2 tdi too.. so why do you guys ask such a stupid question, when you can get more diesel powered audis?? Its just to ship some over then!
lol this is a disaster there fuel injection goes bad fast on gas ones i hate these things i have a 1998 GMC Suburban with a 6.5 turbo way better than this only have to fill it up once a month lol
I have a hunch it's because of the enormous fuel tank. Or maybe it's because you don't take it out for a spin as often as you'd like because of the phenomenal fuel"economy"
face it bro.. in terms of bhp/torque it can't compete with the european diesel engines, especial not those of the german players..
i mean: suburban 6.5t= 195bhp/430tque
Audi Q7 3.0 tdi= 221bhp/406tque
yes. you do have 24 tque more. as if you'd feel that. 195bhp out of 6.5litres. Sad

its called fix it better!turbo charger=power + fuel econemy duel exahst=powe and better fuel ecomnemy. open up the vacume on the turbo for continus power instead of haviing to run at a high rpm zone for i to kick in and diesels sometimes get better econemy than gas it may be more expensive per gallon but it lasts longer per gallon and yes we take her out everyday more than twice for kids school ok
Fix it better??? please explain what you mean by that. Okay. I really don't think you've done your homework on this one, mtjasper26. I don't know why you involve single- and double exhausts since it hardly makes any difference. Q7 has double, high revving?? are we still talking diesel here?? I've looked into the specs once more. 233bhp, and 500tque @1750rpm. And diesel always have better mileage compared to gas.
so the car is to take the kids to school.. 6.5litres tdi...
VERY expensive maintenance when off it's warranty period... those who are very lucky lease and exchange as soon as the warranty is over. IF you plan on keeping, add a few years to the warranty (negotiate this into purchase!).
The higher mileage is great, but diesel prices are still higher than gasoline prices. IMO the Audi Q7 TDI would only be beneficial if your lifestyle actually requires a SUV; with a slim chance that you would save money in fuel, but if that's the case I doubt you would take your shiny Audi into the mud. I agree though Diesel versions of Audi's other models would be a great success. Another great video, are you planning on putting HD versions out?
Audi diesel cars in the USA:
4000 - 1982-83 (1.6L I-4, engine also available turbocharged for 1983 only)
