I have to say, the in cabin lighting seems to be more of a gimmick than anything else. I would hate to be presented with the "rainbow" effect after a night of over indulgence on alcohol only to be presented with that "mood lighting". That said, blue, red, yellow is ok....all the colours of the sky - just leave out the cycaldellic effects.....please.

Those electronic windows are my biggest point of concern for the 787. This was reinforced yesterday, when I took a flight on a regular 747-400. They had to shut down the entertainment system for a few hours due to problems, and as a result we also couldn't turn on the reading light or use the attendant call button anymore. Now imagine not being able to operate the windows on top of that? That'll make for a fun flight.

What a beautiful, cutting edge and stylish aircraft. Thank you for your most excellent footage. I loved watching the wing on takeoff: the flex is impressive, and you can really see when the lift starts acting on it. I do wonder what this heralds in future jet design... If the 787 design proves successful and economical, I bet this will truly change the nature of aircraft manufacturing. Would love to see a new narrowbody composite jet in the future. With good efficiency, it might make sense!
