Lesbians are used as sexually arousing and titillating in mainstream Media and Gay men are used as comedic relief and have their stereotypes mocked and poked fun at. Lesbians have the better deal in Hollywood for sure. The thing that bothers me is that people take the media to be literal representations of gay men, when they are simply a caricaturization of a stereotype only a minority of gay men conform to.

@mrocker917 Well not on this channel. But on my GayComicGeek channel I should have about 300+ vids. I have a little over 100 now. No biggie, I was banned a couple times because of "inappropriate" vids. I showed comic images that were censored, but they were apparently bad enough even with the censors to ban me for a couple of weeks... twice and then take down almost all of my vids.
I think if someone asks me if I'm gay, that says something about their "idea" of what gay people are supposed to look like in their minds. like: all gays act like girls or wear dresses. I would find it a flaw in their character if they asked that question.

I don't understand the need to elaborate to this degree about your sexual orientation as your name speaks volumes. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
Now, do you see straight men with a name i.e. "Straight Man Geek" often? I don't. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with you tube IMO. I'm not homophobic, I feel it's everyone's right to have their own sexual orientation but why does it need to be the very first thing you bring up about yourself? Live your life the way you choose.

@bernardsdaughter The majority of ppl in the world are not gay - so ppl will assume a person is straight unless they say so. Ppl come on youtube to see various personality types and issues. In my life I have zero gay friends etc and I like the fact that on youtube you can actually see individual ppl talking about themselves rather than me relying on media stereotypes. Also He is clearly responding to a question a viewer asked.

Hey I just wanted to ask, does it make you feel uncomfortable to hang out with, say, three straight girls? Just you and three straight chicks? I feel sort of uncomfortable if they are really feminine. I can tell I get hyper-vigilant about I act around them ... If you're with your friends, whether they're guys, girls, straight or gay, who cares what everyone around you thinks. I used to get embarrassed with my loud friends when I was younger, but now I really don't care cause I'm just happy being around them. Don't change the way you are for anyone, especially for people you'll never even see again anyway. Life is great, you just gotta live it right.

Do you associate lesbians with certain looks? Or do they not fit your narrow view of reality? Being gay is not like a race or wearing a tattoo or having a piercing that is visible. You don't know one is gay unless they choose to inform you.

Lesbians are used as sexually arousing and titillating in mainstream Media and Gay men are used as comedic relief and have their stereotypes mocked and poked fun at. Lesbians have the better deal in Hollywood for sure. The thing that bothers me is that people take the media to be literal representations of gay men, when they are simply a caricaturization of a stereotype only a minority of gay men conform to.

I hate it when people say, "All gay guys are pretty obvious," I always just think, "Um.... no, it's just you only notice those types of gay guys BECAUSE they're obvious." People don't realize just because someone doesn't constantly talk about their sexuality doesn't mean they're automatically straight.

@fidget68 I'm Hetero, but I too get very irritated when some people say things like "obviously gay" "gay looking" as if a sexual orientation can be worn on one's sleeve. Unless someone informs you of their orientation, otherwise it's none of your business, but I find it laughable how some are so preoccupied with another's orientation that they use terms like gaydar or he looks gay.
The other thing about it those guys that claim look "obbviously gay" could very well be Heterosexual males

No biggie, I was banned a couple times because of "inappropriate" vids. I showed comic images that were censored, but they were apparently bad enough even with the censors to ban me for a couple of weeks... twice and then take down almost all of my vids.

Kinda funny how being in the south makes the gays more masculine than people would expect. Here in San Francisco there's a lot of straight dudes that act a lot more feminine than you'd expect, which actually pisses me the fuck off. And outsiders will inevitably begin to associate the whole with those singular traits, whether they're shared by all or not. It's not something that exists solely within the gay community, but it does exist.

I have someone that's really close to me now that's bisexual and I support him 100% b/c this person loves both men and women. If I don't understand something, that doesn't mean it's not legit. That'd be really hypocritical of me since a lot of heterosexuals don't understand gay people and think it's wrong. How would I be any different than them?

@Ryuchan22 Its a term of phrase that mean that when two guys have anal sex one guys poop is packed. Fudge = poop and Packer is the one pushing it or packing it back up in there. Thus gay men are often called Fudge Packers. wow there is no easy way of saying this with out hurting anyone sensibility.
