@Shinn1994 it's just for verification purposes, so you can tell I'm starting from the same save that was created by the autosave. Most fps have in game demo recording so something save checking isn't required and most non fps games don't autosave.

@AAscension in games that allow saving it lets you treat each part between saves like it was a mini speedrun. In other words I may have retried the the intro up to the first time I saved 20 times then loaded that save and tried the until the next save 50 times until I got a quick time rather then playing the game straight through in one sitting.

no Idea, I don't own an Xbox. But the PC version can set hotkeys for items. The keyboard+mouse is also normal an advantage in speed running and I imagine it would be here.

yea, i'm following your vids for a 360 speed run, it's probably going to be around 40-50 min because I can't do the flying thing and the menus go a lot faster on the PC apparently

The flying is quite hard, try pressing both buttons at about the same time, the grab button needs to be first.

There is an easier way into the citadel then flying but it takes a little longer. check out watch?gl=DE&hl=de&v=rOo7AECMsk­A.

The reason the menus are faster is because you can navigate them with both the keyboard and mouse so potentially making input up to twice as fast.

i was doing a speed run and i forgot jonas' lab coat, I had to restart...

In retrospect the coat is not necessary so long as you put 5 extra points in to science rather then med at lv 2, by the time you need to use stims your med should be plenty high anyway

glad you enjoyed it. I'm not much of a speed runner myself it's just that this run was relatively easy to beat quickly, lots of segments and little gameplay. There is a halo 2 run coming to sda soon but there are no other runs on there. Personally I can't stand the xbox controler.

I think the only thing that effects run speed is your equipment. So with just a jumpsuit you run faster the if your equipped with power armor. That said I've never played any other version

maybe, my characters usually run around with some form of T-51B armor, but it still looks like you're running faster

Not using weapons wouldn't be a big deal, the main problem is the walking speed.

I did test exiting the door to end the scene quicker but it ended up being slower.
