  • Where do I get the paint booth for my garage? Is it easy to put in? I'm being sarcastic of course. The home repair's worst enemy is dust. What part of your video you cover elimination of dust?

  • @mrwebber35 We talk about that in the VIP course... Honestly, home paint jobs come out better than painting in some body shops because of LESS dust in the home area rather than the body shop locations... There are many body shops that don't have spray booths... they just wet the floors, close the doors and shoot, of course with proper ventilation.

  • @mrwebber35 you can use the 3x3 fans by closing your garage door on top of them, make sure you have plenty of lighting, and wet down the floor with a hose, you dont want to be lifting dust up while you paint.

  • hey i love your stuff i got your ebook and its great stuff. How much total would this job cost and what special ventilation do i have to put in my garage?

  • @EverybodyLovesEthan Awesome man. This job....? It all depends on what the car needs. Yes, if painting in a garage you will need ventilation. You should ask these questions in the VIP area,, Most of them are covered.

  • I have a 1970 El Camino and want to prep my car for paint, but have no access to a paint booth. How can I do this from my garage?

  • @smithjo4152 You can set a small painting area in your garage. People do it all day, or you can simply rent a booth. Why don't you check out the blog at: learnautobodyandpaint(dot)com... we have many resources there for painting enthusiasts. Be cool.

  • @HowToPaintYourCar Thanks Tony

  • i think i messed up i got some wrong paint for my car bumper, was trying to replair some scratches, should i just sand the paint down and actually buy the correct one?

  • @noremorse126 What paint did you get?

  • @HowToPaintYourCar it was actually a rust primer, it's pretty close to the color of my car. What i am going to do now is buy the actual color spray the areas then sand it down to match the paint, please interject if i am wrong heh, i want to do this right

  • does that van have iroc rims? or am i tripping...

  • What kind of sand paper do i use to sand the car down with on a 78 cadilac

  • @paulwall5500 It depends on what you are trying to do buddy... visit the site for more specific information. I'm sure you'll see some Golden Nuggets there. Don't forget to check out the VIP area.

    -Tony

  • Im trying to paint a 78 caddy sedan deville. with candy apple red paint with metal flakes

  • @paulwall5500 Awesome man!

  • hello how do I do this stuff

  • Hi, question. How long does it usually take for the paint to dry if you keep the car in a regular garage with no heating or drying equipment?

  • @Lukeisonutube good question. About 1 hour for base coat and about 6 hours (3 for Tack FREE). You don't need a heated booth to paint. Many so called "auto body shops" dont even have booths. They rent from the guy next store, or wash out their shop floor and close the doors and PAINT!. I've done many NICE paint jobs outside of a booth.

  • "Hey, Im Tony from Earl Sheib, I can paint your car along with barking your tires". "I will find out how fast your car will go down a dirt road"..."Oops did I say that"? "Just bring your car to Tony and I will have it done in 24 hours".

  • i actually know someone that painted his van with a mop

  • wow....i really commend this person for actually taking the bumbers off before painting

  • Real quick question sir what do you use to make the paint look glossy?

  • @elprincepe your question....how to make paint look glossy. Probably a glossy clear coat over the paint. Thats the way its usually done now......many years ago they did not use clear coats and you had to use an electric buffer with polishing compound on the painted surface

  • @inkey2 wow, you make me sound old, we hand sanded the paint with 400 wetsandpaper and then rubbed them out by hand with a two step compound, I actually still prefer the process, its akin to "Romancing the Stone" the process of polishing a diamond to pefection. A lost art. Gloss in done with a clear coat if its over a chroma base paint, but single stage paints when applied correctly have their own sheen.

  • @elprincepe Clear Coat and or Buffing. Find out more at: learnautobodyandpaint(.)com

  • @elprincepe he color sands the clear which is sanding the clear coat with 1000 and working yor way up to 2000 or higher. then buffs with a waffle pad or wool.

  • @elprincepe Colorsand and buff. Check out my other videos: We show you the process on the site!

  • @MysteryReiZero be cool man! I'm sure you'll love the site!

  • I just signed up with your websites and I was reading your one your free PFD sheets, the paint one. I have a question, what do you mean by door jamb?

  • @MysteryReiZero The inside of the doors, trunk, hood etc... the area when you open the doors where you see the car paint.

  • i hope the owner of the rice rocket payed you more just for having to drive that piece of shit

  • I started painting a car in my garage

  • i need some help tony or whatever your name is please, the web didn't help. i got an s-10 with some rust spots on the body, peeled paint, and the whole hood and tailgate are surface rusted. I need advice on how i should prep it. should i go down to metal or the primer. and how would i do so. I'm thinking about doing the prep myself and then taking it to maaco, i want my s-10 to look glossy and maybe in black (its blue now, well chipping rusty blue lol). andy advice appreaciated

  • @rocker4u123 You coule prep it and have it painted. You should take it to a body shop to have painted.

Well, might as well invest in some good paint too!

All of this is covered in the VIP course all on video.

    Cheers!

  • @jemes925 cool! Check out learnautobodyandpaint . com

  • whats the name of the song?

  • looks like a big scam to me. if hes making SOOO much money paint then why does he need to sell an ebook and is painting piles of shit

  • @TheDigitalguyy maybe because I want to help people who want to know EXACTLY how they can turn out a nice project themselves... Fair enough? Besides after seeing all of the junk people are selling I wanted to create the ULTIMATE auto body and paint course there is. It is my Passion! So Take a hike!

  • @TheDigitalguyy ....your question: "if he is making so much money doing body work and painting why does he need to do this?"...well....ill give you some reasons why he may want to sell an ebook on body work. First of all once the book /info is completely done he will be getting money for doing absolutely nothing.....like free money everytime he sells one....and....anyone in this business knows this type work wrecks your lungs and he may not want to do it for too many years....it's just EZ money

  • @inkey2 You didn't mention that I'm a total automotive nut and that I LOVE teaching. It's not just a boring e-read too. This is a FULL on VIP Video training course with over 60 HOURS of step-by-step videos, manuals and private members forum. We have members from all over the world and it's very exciting for all of the guys who always wanted to get their hobby shop going or start a business.

Thanks for all of the support VIP Members!

P.S. working on a BMW e46 conversion to an M3 for VIP members

  • @HowToPaintYourCar oh, i was not putting it down.....just trying to tell that guy that there are legit reasons why people want to make instructional videos. Nothing wrong at all with wanting to make more money and help people at the same time. I have been thinking about making an instructional video for years. I repair antique watches and musical instruments. I wish I was as young and energetic as you are
