  • Epic afros and saxophone solos, where are you now?

  • There is a video on Youtube of Linda and Paul at home...he's playing the guitar and she is singing along and you can really hear her voice. It's a surprise how good she could sing and harmonize with him. On the reg. songs she gets drowned out. I think she unfairly got a lot of flak. Paul credits her for getting him out of a very bad state after the Beatles and back to making music. He needed her support. She gave up alot of her own wants and needs to keep him going.

  • When I was a teen the Beatles had already broken up and Wings was going strong. I think Wings was underappreciated because it was under the shadow of the Beatles. Paul McCartney wrote some great songs along with some lesser ones, and I can appreciate them better now on YouTube. All artists have to do a whole lot of work to come up with some master works.

  • @Neverever325 Agreed...Probably one of the best bands in the 70's.

  • @Neverever325 :Wings was never under the shadow of the Beatles. If you lived thru that time period you know Wings was Paul McCartney and everyone knew it. Paul just picked up where the Beatles left off and continued writing and singing great songs....

  • "Take it away Thaddeus!"

    He sure did. Wow.

  • genius!!

  • the technology sucked so bad back then, yet paul still sounded better than 99.9% of the junk played on corporation owned radio today.

  • good old 76

  • How can anyone be so talented????

  • This was the best lineup of Wings and Paul's best era as far as vocal ability, writing creativity and energy. It was a great time period in its own way separate from The Beatles' greatness

  • @QueenBeatlesWings He was touched by God. Nobody is like him. Paul is God!!!!! Perfect!!!!!

  • I wish he included this and some other Wings songs in his tours!!! Not that his tours are bad at all, but I'd love to hear this one live... =)

  • That's MY UNCLE KILLING THAT ALTO SAX AND THE AFRO GOOOO THAD!!! and Sir Paul said "TAKE IT AWAY THADDEUS!!"

  • @NatButtaBrotha - That is awesome! Paul should be honored to play with such a fine sax player! I sure hope he got paid VERY WELL!

  • @dogloverNV he did

  • @NatButtaBrotha but....that's a soprano saxophone isn't it???

  • ayayayayayayyyyy Linda..... I love you though!

  • Wish we could hear Linda's harmonies seperated out on this song too.... if you know what I mean.

  • @Gynecologist i totally agree Have you heard her on Hey Jude? OMG singing was Not her forte

  • This song is timeless and will never get old!

  • @MKMARKS Yes, this is definitely a good song. Thanks for sharing this video. And it's great live.

  • never in my life would i have thought someone would actually think wings were better than the beatles. i know that the people who have written this here were not joking. up until now it has always been a joke when someone said they preferred wings to the beatles. how is it possible to think this? listen to Let Em In and then say that Paul McCartney did better things solo than with the Beatles.

  • @harmony000 Gee i do not know how old you are But are you joking Let Em In Better than oh say Day in the Life or the whole album Sadly Paul always goes for the vapid lyrics that is why he needed John.

  • @josamsaunt Maybe there has been a misunderstanding. i do not think that Let Em In is better than a Day in the Life. How could anyone think that? I was saying to people that think that Wings is better than the Beatles, give that song a listen, and then try to say that Wings or McCartney solo is better than the Beatles. That would be impossible.

  • @josamsaunt Sorry i misunderstood you .You are right I do not get people who like most of the sappy stuff McCartney did solo to what he did with the Fab Four. And Linda might have been nice but her voice was terrible.

  • This would have made for an aweful Beatles song a la Got to Get You Into My Life. It has a bouncy, infectious pop melody that is the hallmark of a Beatles' song.

  • great version

  • @scubaduba23 and A1 sausie

lol better than the beatles ??

First off don't get me wrong paul mccartney is my favorite of the beatles.

Wings maybe better in the sense that paul was a more matured song-writer and was able to really do what he wanted. But I would say paul wrote his best songs while he was in the Beatles.

The Beatles made paul McCartney into what he is. His most genius songs were written while he was in the Band. When he was fab.. The Beatles are uncomparable to wings

  • Wings definitely better than The Beatles. I love both, but Wings floats my boat much more.

  • Wing was much better than the Beatles

  • Both bands are great. Both bands had Paul.

  • yes, point taken!

  • He has a mullet

  • turn me on dead man

  • haha, i think youre confusing him with john lennon...

  • I had to sign in because I had to give this 5 star rating to one of my favorite songs by him. I grew up listening to the beatles because my mom always listened to them and she has a poster signed by everyone but John. I don't know how that happened, but it's seems like a unique collectable.

  • You are right- he is reallyy cooking on the piano. thanks for the posting!!!!

  • YES...Great Post, Thank You :)

  • Paul was just tearing it up on the piano that night not just in this song but listen to him on Lady Madonna and even as simple of a song as let em in. When he goes into the "sister susie brother john" chorus it gave me shivers such a low powerful bass he's all the way down there on the keys holding it down in that unique McCartney style of playing. truly and simply original piano playing. Wow amazing. How lucky are we to have Paul McCartney

  • Go Paul!

  • what a great song! how wonderful is Paul!!!

  • Fantastic song. Linda sounded just fine backing up her hubby as usual. This version of the song is just faster than it's usually played. RIP Linda.

  • Lol Lol "Shake Yer Bums" my ass lol lol

    Magnificent Macca

  • Always seems to me that Paul just HAS to emulate his hero, Little Richard. Ow! Like during tht introduction. Ow!

  • Good video on this one

  • he sed doo doo doooo doo doo doo doo doo!

  • The wonder of it all baby! The wonder of it all baby, yeah-yeah-yeah.

  • this song is MUCH better live

  • He should do this song during his tour this year.

  • I agree

  • jute way did da man say?

  • "Whoa, whoa, whoa".

  • good performance except for those backing harmonies at the end

  • I was at this show, and it's fair to say McCartney basically just mailed it in. It wasn't terrible and he fulfilled his professional obligation, but as you can see, not a lot of emotion on display. It was a helluva payday, though, with oevr 60,000 fans at the brand new Kingdome, which had opened three motnhs earlier in March, 1976.

  • Perhaps, but it was the last American show, and he'd been on tour for a year and a half.

  • Paul´s performance in 76 let you know, that he´s one of the best stars in history (for me he´s the best!!)

  • @starship21ZNA9 listen to to what the man said

  • fine thank you.........

  • Really rushing through this concert!

Sometime concerts suck for the act and they just want to get the gig over!

  • ive seen may concerts in the kingdome. but i was to young to see this one!!!
