I personally prefer female bodyguards to male, and I do believe female bodyguards can be a par with male bodyguards. I really have no comment who's better, I think each individual's different.

This is stupid, almost all situations where a bodyguard needs to intervene involve hand to hand combat and there shouldn't be a bloody discussion about a fit 6'2 200 lbs male being a better fighter than a fit 5'6 120 lbs woman. Body mass counts, simple physics. Don't believe what you see in Japanese action flicks. And males are still better at handling guns too,a woman's "surprise effect" is a rather weak argument.

@SmokeyCough It's mostly body mechanics that determine recoil, if that's what you're getting at, though weaker wrists can cause some autoloaders to jam. In that case, a smaller caliber and / or revolver is appropriate, though the female competition shooters should be a clear indication that many women can shoot better than their male counterparts. Should be no big surprise, as people are not all made the same, after all.
