  • The voice you are referring to is Dale Allen. He was the actual frontman for the band befroe the Mercury days. He had some substance abuse problems, but he was a singin MOFO. I knew him when I was a kid and i used to see them often. Dale Allen.

  • wed mar 26 2008 Never had a Dream. I have always liked the way the O. Players did this tune. It was done up in a classical music style leading into a jazz section then collapsing into a real hard core funk line! The Ohio Players on this tune aren't the greatest of musicians dealing with hardcore classical and hardcore jazz but i really loved the way they handled this selection!
