  • Post more DIAclone transformers commershals

  • Nice stop motion work and it really has atmosphere.

  • TF fans should be grateful some mad designer at Takara came up with the ideas of Transforming cars which lead to Hasbro working with Takara and market them as Transformers

Transformers like cartoons and toys was very big in Asia in the 1980's way before Transformers hit the screens in 1984

If you want to be truthful its the Japanese who should be getting credit for the success of Transformers

  • autob...i mean er dioclones roll o... i mean er...go!

  • And if you look carefully in the 0:22-0:25. you'll see "socket rails" and all of the toys (Sunstreaker, IronHide, Clampdown, Ratchet and Trailbreaker) attached to the rails, these are studio tools, and i'm not sure if these techniques still remain taught in Japan.

And at that time I believe no one noticed this studio tricks, and i don't think kids cares either. as long as the toy moves, it attracks them

    meow~

  • @DiscothecaImperialis I told you, that's not Clampdown. That's the Police Sunstreaker.

  • omfg they can fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O

  • why don't they say somthing about G1 TRANSFORMERS????

  • I had the Police and Red Sunstreaker models a few yeas back. Sold them for a hefty sum when I sold my collection on Ebay.

  • @ratchide The Japanese police Lambour is later relased as CLAMP DOWN, while the red Tracks became Road Rage

correct me if i'm wrong sir.

  • @DiscothecaImperialis Clamp Down is the repaint of Red Alert. That red Honda City in this commercial is the red version of Crosscut.

  • love the techno music

  • @abudzakho I'm pretty sure I've heard it in a Colecovision commercial.

  • i wish i had a time machine so i could go back to the time i saw so many great robots in the early 80's. i'd buy them all up! hehe!!

  • @cgrecordings Don't!!!

You could break the time space continum! Before you know it, the changes will cause everyone to become oldspice! Then all the old spice will combine together and become a weird space crab! and...the....uhhh...my hand will turn into...megatron...and....then ill be omega supreme....and...What was I saying, again?

  • car robotto :D!

  • These Diaclone commercials are amazing!

I love the way they have done the scenery to scale & you never once see a hand or anything..

  • the history of the transformer toys continues to amaze me... as a kid i remember seeing transformer toys of different colors but had no clue why they were like that...

  • Love that cheesy late 70's/early 80's music.

Was Skids ever featured even once in the cartoon? I remember he had a minor role in the comics, even had an entire issue dedicated to him fighting Megsy in one issue.

  • Skids was in the cartoon, but he didn't do much.

  • I saw ironhide in the commercial

  • nice

  • The original "Bluestreak" was never released as is in the US, just all silver. Very, very rare toy if you can find it in the original Diaclone package!!

  • japanese toys they make to MUCH!!!

  • Skids is the biggest piece of crap Transfomer I have ever had in my hands.

  • Skids was made as the Honda City Turbo.. which came in black 1st, then red, and blue.

  • Don't forget silver as well!!

  • Honda City R= CrossCut.. EHobby silver version of this robot, not Skids

  • Honda City R = Skids

    Fairlady Z = Bluestreak/Silverstreak

The Fairlady Z mold was reused for make Smokescreen and Prowl (Fairlady Z Racing Type & Police Car).
