this is basically a huge toggle release setup that's connected to a net that's laid over the trigger stick(the long stick in the video), I wish I could post a link, just search for "toggle release trap" you'll find one with a good explanation.

not fast enough, add more weight. also make the strings longer so they lie on the ground out of the way, otherwise they can snarl and cause the net to miss the animal as it lifts

@johnjayrambo11111 I would agree bro. Adding more weight would make it faster and would account for weight of animal trapped when lifting it. I don't know that @bendotwood was being a dick, just offering advice. good design and ideas though. I'm going to play around with this for sure. Thanks

i think the net trap is one of the best ways to trap an animal....you did an awesome job....i made one that uses a spring like pull from a branch or bush....it works rather well....check out my vid...

that trap is really for ground feeding birds so adjust the net to fit the size

Nice dude, I like your videos, i have around 5 or 6 survival books with about 15-20 different snare traps dead fall and spear traps, all of which you have demonstrated in your videos. i've made a few and might put some up on youtube. i wouldnt use traps for fun, only in survival situtations but i feel its important to be able to carry these traps in the mind. real good job.
