It's just a bummer that the native egyptians tripped off the limestone layering on the outside, apparently the limestone was so smooth that it shone blinding white when the sun shone down on it. @HistoryHmoobGuy The great wall of China was build starting 5th century BC through the 16th century while Great Pyramid dates most probably much earlier than traditional scholars say which means could be as old as maybe more than 10000-15000years. There is no solid evidence at all of who build Egyptian pyramids and even if it was build as the say in schools would make this pyramid already 5000 old. Educate yourself before making comments.

@ivanlagrossemoule The stone material would have to have either Carbon in its structure (like a Carbonate) or coated with ash or soot containing Carbon to be dated. Now even if you will find any thing wooden around stone you can date the wood but you will never know if the wood was in the same time put in the place as the stone. Does this answer your question?

@BRYLANT5700 Well, pyramids are dated by texts mainly. If you can find the pharaoh to whom it belongs, and if the carbon dating dates it pretty close to the date of construction, that sounds pretty accurate enough.

But then in history you have to have alot of evidence to change something which is accepted by almost everyone. For example, mummies have been shown to take drugs that are from america, but we can't claim much from it...
