You should take out the part where you say the people rioted demanding "bread and circuses" because the adage "panem et circenses " was a political formula for keeping the people docile. The implication is that if you give the people food and entertainment then they wont care about anything political or philosophical.
@mamst65 This whole debate is bullshit. Republicans don't want a republic, they want Oligarchy.
Democrats want to 1. Help the GOP form an Oligarchy or 2. Have a republic.
And no vote on a bill is EVER unanimously approved, so nothing gets done. This argument is propaganda, so the Oligarchy (the few) can quell the rights of the masses (the democracy) and pass it off as a Republic
@dasloris Correction, Neo-Conservative mainstream Republicans of today want an Oligarchy. Traditional conservative republicans as they used to be DO want a Republic however the Republican party has been taken over by fake conservatives who only want big government.

This excerpt from "Overview of America" is one of the best videos produced by The John Birch Society.

You sir, are the one confused about the political spectrum. Social democracy is the penultimate form of Government, not republics.

This is such a simple piece of bullshit.
Read Ayn Rand to understand Capitalism.
Read Karl Marx to understand Communism.
Make up your own mind.
