Hey I have 1993 Honda civic vx(vtec-e) standard tranny and same mods as you: short ram intake and stage 2 racing clutch... Lol yeah I can also notice the difference while going up hills on 3rd gear.. And somehow the motor revs up faster with the racing clutch, ppl can't see the difference but I sure can.. Lol
next time atleast make it a downhill 3rd gear pull that way it doesnt look like your walking up the hill lol. your breaking your already broken motor :(
@eghatchattack you didn't know bouncing your tach like that could shave your 1/4 mile time from 35 seconds to like a 4 1/2sec run? The bouncing speeds up the activation of the v-techiness of the lawn mower shaft.
the ex/si tranny with a stg 2 clutch and act streetlite flywheel, other mods are a z6 exhaust manifold(header) and a custom 2 inch exhaust with a welded in 24 inch glasspack stock ecu stock 1.5 VTEC-E
haha my buddy had a 94 vx with that 1.5 vtec-e that beeeottch was slow but it was fun... we took it through the woods cut the stock muffler off with saw zaw etc.... good times
that is actually pretty impressive for a vx. they are d15 e-vtec with lean burn and have that very very dreadfull long geared tranny. ( man i hate that tranny ) they do like 5 million miles to the gallon. great motor for gas millage, bad motor for proformance. ( the wideband o2 is kinda nice though ).
"pretty sweet pull in my car in 3rd gear, up a huge hill with a full car and 200lb stereo, 1992 Honda Civic VX Hatchback...d15z1 single cam 1.5 vtec-e, 5 spd, no options(power locks, windows), 180km..."
