This cat has a nice voice. 'Changes up too much to where it does not sound so natural. He would do well to find his OWN range and not try to do so much(not too many can do what the great Bobby DeBarge could do, or even El). Messes things up a bit when some attempt it. That was their unique style (moreso Bobby's). However, this man is truly capable of great things because he has skills.But too many runs get in the way of just simply-singing.

Javon'e...loved the way you sang that classic! I have loved Switch and DeBarge since day one. I went to your channel and listened to your song, it was nice, i just wished that the arrangement hadn't called for a drum machine. While i do know that this style of arranging is the "in thing"...I can clearly see and hear how it is also limiting your vocal ability, but I guess that's why they also say, "they don't write 'em like that anymore." Every group has to draw upon it's strengths, and putting Michael in front was a calculated move because of the many family groups that were competition at the time, such as the DeFranco Family, The Osmonds and The Sylvers. If you look at the old J5 clips, you'll realize none of the forementioned groups were better than the J5. Thanks to Michael.

@deandreajefferson i think it's because the Jacksons have had much more success than the DeBarge's, well mainly Janet and Michael. Michael has kids but who knows if they're biological? im not sure and Janet is so focused on her career. As for the other Jacksons may have kids who just are not interested in displaying their talents and their parents may not want to push them because of the way the were pushed...just a guess tho *shrugs*
