There are a couple of spots near this one where you can go if you don't have a boat. If you do, you wanna make sure that you come close to high tide because of the rocks. WHen you pass the rocks there is a really deep spot that they like to hang out in. I've seen lots of Seals feast here. Good Luck!
Its cool. I actually double-checked to make sure. Fish aren't my specialty, I'm more of a bird nerd. This video was shot from Factory Island. So if you go to google maps, and look at where Route 9 (Main St.) crosses the river and head upstream to where the steampipe cronnects the mills over the river, you got the spot. That was nice. Maybe the fish was undersized ? or just his style of fishing. Striper meat tastes pretty good. Tried catching them at Sandy Hook, I usually wind up with blue fish.
