  • Demonstrated very well! Thanks! This has helped me alot.

  • Ok cool, ill try that. Thanks

  • How did you pull off throttle body? Any tricks?

  • @dank01man I have to use a metal rod wrapped in a towel like a pry bar even after I loosed the rings on the bottom of the rubber seals

  • Good write-up.

You have any problems with the APE that made you want to go OEM?

  • I changed my auto chain tensioner with manual chain tensioner too - when motor chain started to do loud sounds at 3k rpm's :)

  • My ape tensioner blew out at 130mph, 7 hours away from home and spilled oil all over my rear tire on my 2001 f4i... I was wearing earplugs and didn't hear it until i came to a stop. Idk how i didn't crash.. Then my insurance rold me i had no roadside..

  • @oCannabusdriver you mean 70mph, because your a law abiding rider ;)

  • @soul111smasher ahem... yes, uhm... thats right lol

  • @oCannabusdriver So how did it blow out? Did the tension accidently get loosened from vibration and high RPM or what? I just replaced my auto CCT with the APE manual CCT.

  • @driftables i rode hard all day... i mean really hard. the bike was between 8k-15k rpm for the most part of my 12 hour ride. had an oil change a week before to 5w-30. i do think it wasnt installed properly by the shop i took it to mainly because of the crap ive seen each time i took it to them. they would improperly reinstall the fairing (misaligned), forget to put screws back, broke a screw off on the fairing which i had to tap (didnt notice it until i changed my oil), to be continued...

  • @oCannabusdriver they didnt tighten the radiator cap back on after checking it, causing fluid to be silled on my first right hand turn...

anyway, i learned my lesson. if you want it done right, do it yourself.

  • @oCannabusdriver yeah if they didn't take care of the rest of the parts on the bike then they probably didn't properly secure the bolts on the installation job on the APE CCT.

  • sweet watch

  • "Proabably shitting your pants..." LOL!

    What.....no outtakes?

  • Do you recommend the stock cct or a aftermarket one. Great video thanks!!!

  • @GamesTechNews He did install an aftermarket, and then he went back to a stock. Not to put words in his mouth, but his opinion is pretty obvious.

  • Nice work. I watched the whole thing and I don't even own a CBR 600! Very entertaining and informative. Thanks for taking the time.

  • @dlinquencious most cct's are the same in most bikes. =)
